Dairy Farmers Wife IS going to Disney in March/April!

Hi jen! Ive been following along with your PTR just slow to comment! The community board is always kinda vicious. I always see you on the Pop FAQ I am a fellow POP lover and will say hi to it for you in a couple weeks.

Oh for the record your daughter is stinkin' cute especially in the Mary Poppin's photo in your signature

wow i just sat here and when through this whole tread, ur lil one is a doll baby, so cute and pray ur hubby gets well soon

please know i mean this in the best possible way .... both my girls are "snowflakes" as are all children

snowflake means to me a one of the kind, precious gem that leaves a sweet kiss in the hearts of all they touch

I love jack frost and love my snowflake:love:

LOL! I geuss I am still really confused about the whole "snowflake meaning". But It kind of sounds like all of us may have a bit of a snowflake from time to time. :cloud9: I would have to say maybe at different all 3 of my kids are or have been a bit snowflakey. :wizard:

thanks. I think I lucked out with 3 of the best looking kids ever! ....OK, that could be just the "snowflake" mom in me talking. :cutie:
I see you over on the Pop thread too. I really love Pop. It feels like home.
I'm glad you came on over and joined me!

I'm still reading over there now, and I am amazed how many people don't think the term is offesive, and those who do must be parents of snowflakes. Not sure how tat becomes the conclusion...but it must be right, since a couple think it is...right? :rotfl2:

I can't believe that it is still going on , they should really shut it down ! Especially since it is talking bad about children who can't defend themselves !
How very sad that there are dissers out there that find it necessary to pick on children and there families , Disney is family :(

Oh as far as the snowflake thing at least snowflake kids tend to be happy and have the things they want etc better to be a snowflake than homeless or abused. I say just take the comment with a grain of salt every child is going to have a snow flake moment (not saying Claire is one with a kid that cute I'd spoil her rotten and dress her up like a doll haha)... I think people on that thread are in denial haha

I like your tradition pictures! Where is the little stage area? It's really cute!

I understand all about taking lots of pictures!!! We can't seem to come home from Disney without at least 2,000.

I'm hoping to create a traditional picture with our family! I can't wait to see what I decide on! :cool1:

Oh, and the snowflake/helicopter parenting... just ignore them. Clearly, you know your child far better than anyone else. Your older daughter had horrible blisters at the park, right? You are protecting Claire from the pain that her older sister had. I see nothing wrong with that! Especially since she's going to walk around some too! It would be different if she wasn't allowed to walk because you had some fear that she might get lost (however that is a real fear- but I hope you understand the difference!). There are helicopter parents on this board (I've seen their posts) and I just ignore them, because- their rushing and cooing and giving their child no independence- its their choice as a parent. But, I don't see you in that category AT ALL.

That thread has turned really weird now. Now there is supposedly a family fight going on there, but most of those posters have less than 10 posts, so it's probably a troll.

That stage area is kind of between liberty Square and the bridge that goes over to Crystal Palace...I think. It's near a smoking section...one of Skips favorite,;) so we tend to go there at least once a trip.

I have seen so many cute yearly traditional pictures. It is a neat idea. Brookelizabeth has some really cute ones of her son Henry..who is just cute as can be. I've been following her for about a year and 1/2 or so now, and I can't beleive how much Henry has grown in that time.

BTW Brook, Happy early birthday to Henry!

Aw, thanks!!! I can't believe he's going to be THREE!

All but one of our tradition pictures were accidents as well. Once I realized we had a couple repeats from Henry's 2nd trip I decided to make them traditions! :thumbsup2 It's really fun!! I wish I had done one next to a height measurement, but never did.

A little bit of good news today. We did find out that Skips hip is not one of the recalls! He has an injections now scheduled for next week. And he actually seems to be doing pretty good lately.
He is also tractor pulling this weekend (if all goes well), and it's so nice to see him smiling again. :) Paige wants to come along (when she was younger, it was "boring" to her, and we couldn't drag her to one half the time) because now she knows there will be "hot" guys there. Well, I don't know how hot they are, but there will be A LOT of guys! So to a college freshman thats probably all you need.

:rotfl: that is funny about Paige!

Great news about Skip, I'm glad things are going better and he seems to be in less pain. I hope these injections are the answer and he'll heal up quickly!

I have read of others doing it in front of height measurements too. That would be cool to see your child grow each time.

So glad to hear Skip's hip was not one of the ones on recall.

That is too funny about Paige. I guess when your young you go where you have to! :rotfl2:

Glad to hear that Skip's hip was not recalled and that there going forward with the injections :thumbsup2

I was the same way as Paige at both ages ! It's funny what you won't do as a kid because it's uncool and then when you get to be an adult you really don't care at all :lmao:

Thank goodness! I was so glad to read that the hip wasn't one of the recalled ones. Yay for him feeling better.

Thats to funny about Paige wanting to go to the tractor pull to meet hot guys!

I'm glad to hear that Skips hip was not one of the recalls. I hope the injections work for him (and you ;) )!

We are happy it wasn't a recall, but of course now his hip area is acting up again. He could barely walk again yesterday, but I did find out he ran out of the muscle relaxer 2 days ago ,and never refilled it. So hopefully once that gets working it will losen him up. He has been working extra hard too, so that could've done it as well.

Paige is all about guys anymore. But I think alot of these young guys look too feminine. Must be the hairstyles alot of them are wearing now a days. Of course I grew up in the days when Mullets were the hot thing!
