I know we had rice dream and soy ice cream at the Parlor on Main Street last year for my son but does anyone know of any other Ice Cream locations at any of the parks that offers a dairy free cone treat?

I know the Edy's in Epcot does not.

Thanks for the link! I'll contact Brenda Bennett and see if she can help me. I've been in touch with her already regarding the Divies products that they sell.

We got Tofutti at the Fountainview Cafe in Epcot last May - has that changed? We had to ask for it and they got it from the back.

Here's my list of locations that carry Tofutti (soy) and Rice Dream ice creams. It was valid at the end of February but I'd confirm with Brenda that nothing has changed.

Magic Kingdom: Plaza Ice Cream Parlor, The Cone Shop
Epcot: Fountain View, Liberty Inn, Sunshine Seasons (Land Pavillion)
Animal Kingdom: Restaurantosaurus
Hollywood Studios: Hollywood Scoops

A few extra cold snack options at the outdoor food carts all over the parks include:
frozen bananas, itzkadoodle popsicles, strawberry bars

Even the popcorn at the carts is dairy free.

Thanks for that very helpful information!
Aren't the frozen banana's covered in chocolate? Would it be dairy free?

You will have to read the label or contact them at special diets to see if the frozen banana is dairy free. If you cannot get an answer then on my next trip this month I could look at the DLR frozen bananas for you.

Sometimes they use chocolatey coatings:
CHOCOLATEY COATING: COCONUT OIL, SUGAR, COCOA, SOY LECITHIN, SALT AND ARTIFICIAL FLAVOUR.

Sometimes they use chocolate that has dairy.

Glad to help!

The frozen bananas are dairy free. My daughter and I really enjoyed chowing down on them and casein is one of our most sensitive intollerances. They were on the milk free list from Brenda.

Check with Brenda to make sure that they're in stock. At the end of February, mid-way through our trip, they were recalled because of the peanuts.

One last thing. Have Brenda confirm with the people at Hollywood Studios regarding baked goods that are supposed to be in the main bakery. They had been out of their allergy safe foods for a while when we were there (according to the manager), but nobody bothered to restock or inform Brenda.

Thanks for the information too, My son also drinks rice milk and I was very concerned about treats.:cool1:

Oh bummer. My son has a peanut allergy. Are they cross contaminated?

Frozen bananas have peanuts. Some poor girl had me staring at her banana, lol. That is why the Nestle's novelties have that allergen warning about being made in the same factory as wheat, soy and nuts for example.

I missed that you also needed nut free. The frozen bananas are covered in nuts so no they're not safe for you. Sorry about that. I haven't researched nut allergies (though next time I will since my OTHER daughter was recently diagnosed with several types of nut allergies) so I can't be positive, but I am pretty sure that the Itzkadoodle popsicles and strawberry bars are nut free, though as I said I haven't researched for nut cross contamination issues. My kids can't have the Itzkadoodle popsicles due to orange and lemon allergies (yup, people can be allergic to those) so I've never looked any further into them besides knowing that they're gluten and milk (lactose, casein & whey) free.

He can have the Itzkadoodle and he even had one at the WCC once for dessert. The chef there was so nice to him! He had his very first milkshake there too!
I never knew about a lemon and orange allergy but I'm sure you can be allergic to anything. I wonder if it is all citrus for them like grapefruits too?
