Daily housekeeping returns for all Deluxe

Just read that all deluxe resorts will receive full housekeeping daily, mods and values every other day starting Jan 15th.
DVC will continue its schedule based on length of stay

At least they are finally updating their wording to match what has generally been happening at the Deluxes for awhile now anyway, but at least a seemingly positive step forward for it to be “official.”

I will just be happy if they change the sheets once or twice during a ten day stay. I actually like the every other day schedule at the values and moderates, but I didn’t like that they weren’t doing the full cleaning, or at least making the bed.

I had assumed that as well. I thought trash and towels maybe sometimes was here to stay, glad to see it coming back to full! Hoping it’s just a matter of staffing to get it back to every day…

I expect free limo service from the airport by this time next week. Anything else simply won’t do.

Thank God...although I can say that our SeaWorld area hotel (comparable to a moderate) last June and our Universal (also Moderate level) resort in December both had daily housekeeping.

Still, better late than never....

least exciting development, we stayed at AOA and it was every third day which was perfect. I see no reason to get housekeeping everyday, it's a waste.

I don’t understand comments like this. It’s not just about your preference for reduced service, right? Other people clearly appreciate daily housekeeping when they’re on vacation staying in a small space, especially with kids. Moderates and values will receive it every other day it. And if you don’t want it, can always decline it But it’s nice that it’s back to normal for many guests if they so choose

Why waste water and energy to wash sheets/blankets that otherwise don't need to be washed?
I have kids I know exactly what a room looks like while vacationing that doesn't mean you have to treat your room like a trash can just because your vacationing. If you treat your room like you treat your own place then daily housekeeping isn't needed.

It has been a long time since Disney mousekeeping changed the sheets daily and washed them. They generally just remake the beds. For the price I am paying for a Disney hotel I want to come back to my bed made and room straightened and dirty towels gone. On DCL you have both daily housekeeping and daily turndown service which is a big reason I adore DCL- because my stateroom is always spotless.

I agree. I wouldn't be happy if I was paying almost $1k a night for a theme park view Contemporary room and didn't get daily housekeeping.

They don't change the sheets daily unless you ask same with towels if you hang them up they won't be replaced. I like having my bed made and my room tidied up when on Vacation.

I saw the news, but if I do now my online check in (I'll be there in April at BC resort) it still say to me that we'll have light mousekeeping every other day. Frankly, I'll wait to do the check in until they remove (hopefully) this statemente on the check in. I really want daily cleaning of my room....
