Well my plans took a change. I ended up taking my mom to ER and spent the last 7 hours there. It looks like the virus that DD had took a horrible toll on my mom, but at least she will be fine. They released her. The bad news is tomorrow is her 70th birthday, so she might not be up for our plans. I guess we will wait and see.

Poor Megan! What is with all this sickness during the summer?

I know it sucks being sick in the summer, she's feeling better....hope we can get out of the house tomorrow for something fun, going a bit stir crazy

Oh no Lisa.. well, at least you got Megan into the doctor and she is on meds for a quick recovery....

Michelle, I am so sorry to hear you spent a good amount of the day in the ER...but at least mom is on the mend.. sorry your plans are up in the air but you can celebrate her birthday with her tomorrow and enjoy a little calm after today!!


I accomplished much of my list..and in doing so create a few more things to add to the list and some of those items are the responsiblity of others.. I will just follow up to make sure they accomplish those tasks so I can mark them off my list as complete!!!

Thank you ladies...talked to my sis tonite, Mom hasn't eaten or drank anything in the last two days. She went from one dose of morphine daily on Saturday to 3x a day as of today. They are just trying to make her comfortable as her body shuts down. Even though you know its coming, I know Mama loves me and she knows I love her, it still doesn't make it any easier does it?

Becky - I am certain that your mother does love you, no matter where you are in distance. May her final days be peaceful...
Michelle - hope that your mother will be feeling more comfortable tomorrow on her birthday.
