a question guys...
we are wondering what you budget for extra cash whilst on ddp?
we have considered $5 for maid and $30 for TS tip, will have a seperate "mall busting" budget, and kids will have own spends for pins/cuddlies, they are barred from buying more clothes:rotfl2:
will be off site a few days with a seperate budget, so dont think we ll use all CS/snack credits anyway, and going to get to walmart and pick up some bottles of water and cereal bars for bfast, though im sure we wont need them!
so guys, how much do you budget per day...what am i missing?
thanks
tracy
ps im working on $50 per day, does that sound right
we dont drink alcohol...

We ended up using some snack credits for breakfast items and others for actual snacks. We generally burn through those easily. Even with that we end up sometimes buying an extra snack here and there - especially the cheaper items - and save the snack credit for the more expensive "snack." My family wants to eat breakfast so I have to budget some $ for that and $ for extra snacks. The $50/day comes close to what we spend even so.

I am budgeting $100 a day for a family of 4, 2 boys counted as 'adults'! We will be buying breakfast some mornings, possibly a few extra snacks or drinks if we need them (haven't done DDP before so may be unnecessary but I'd rather have it in the budget), also appetisers at a few meals, wine and cocktails, and of course tips.

our experience on free dining ddp: we use the snack credit to buy a breakfast pastry (make coffee in the room), then the counter service credit for lunch either in the park or back at the resort if we're taking an afternoon break - you can have one of you get bottled water for beverage & the other get a soda. Split the soda - and you have a bottled water to carry around in the park. You can get a large sodo with your counter service--we never finish two of them, so splitting one large soda works great. For that matter, if you're going to the places that have larger platter-style meals that you can split, we'll split a breakfast, then split a lunch so our 2 counter service meal credits will get us both breakfast & lunch. Then we have a nice table service dinner. We rarely bought snacks in the parks...just not hungry between meals. If we did, we'd pay OOP -- maybe $5 or $6 for dole whips or soda. We have taken water & cereal bars every trip (as well as other snacks) and generally end up taking all of them home with us, lol.

I would wait a day or two before stocking up on snacks/cereal bars and bottled water...might be a total waste for you.

all of our CS meals. We are then covered for breakfast and lunch and aren't stuffed in the hot Sept weather. We also don't waste a lot this way. And we're ready for our TS dinners!!!

I take $100 per day on our trips. This covers all tips, souvies (but we don't buy tons although, with a new grandson...) adult beverages, funnel cakes, occassional appies, and I usually have $150 or so left.
