DAH - AP discount refund???

We currently have 10day WPF&M tickets booked on a package. When we arrive we will upgrade one of the tickets to an Annual Pass. We want to book a couple of the DAH nights and take advantage of the AP Discount offered. If I book the DAH now, will Disney refund the difference when we upgrade to the AP? I had mentioned on another post that we would have to wait to book DAH when we arrived and were concerned it would sell out, and someone replied that the thought this might be the case.

Generally speaking, DISers have reported being able to get the price difference refunded in the form of a Disney gift card. It doesn’t get mentioned all that often, just occasionally, but there have been more than a few reports on the various DAH threads.

Yeah, I have heard of this happening before in the past, but it's also not that common so nobody can really make any guarantees or assurances. You'll really just have to try it and find out I suppose. Hopefully it all works out.

Not DAH, but I can report that I got an AP refund on my HDDR tickets. When I went to pick them up, I mentioned I had an AP and asked if it would it be possible to get the AP rate, and the CM applied the refund. It's certainly worth asking!

We got a refund on the difference last July on DAH tickets. We were in the same situation. It took them a while but they were very nice about it. I received the difference back on a gift card.
