Daft Question re names

Me and chap are off to NY at easter. Thought we would share a normal size case rather than use 2 little ones.

What name do I put on ? His or mine (not married) or both?

You could either put both or the lead passenger i.e. the one who made the booking.

Why does it matter?

All we ever put on any of our cases is our surname and the town we live in. Nothing else.

Because we don't have the same surname, hence the question WHICH NAME.

I really don't think a name matters. I just make sure that I put something on the case(s) so I can recognise them when coming around on the carousel.

I would even go so far as to say that the trip we took a couple of weeks ago to Orlando the case we flew out with and the cases we came back with had no luggage labels on them at all.

I honestly do not think it is a problem.

I would certainly advise putting both your names somewhere on the inside of the case, as well as whatever you put outside. That way, should the bag go astray, there will be a way of identifying it as your bag.

I would think you should use the lead name on the booking form for the outside label.

If it was me i would put both names on the case somewhere but just the one address if the holidays is booked in your name put that first on the label

Just to be sure why not phone the airline you are flying with
