Daddy daughter trip to AKL

Got a great rate for AKL for a daddy daughter trip in feb.Is Akl a good place to take a 7 yr old? I mean 200+ a nite for a room is kinda steep if its not a kid friendly resort.I have a savannah view room to wich i would love,how bored will my dd become with the sights and sounds of akl?I donot comando the parks as my wife will, i could really just stay in one place but i know my dd will want to go to disney ,seaworld and universal.Any suggestions? Should i just stay in a value resort or go for the Deluxe?

I have only visited the AKL but I am sure that your daughter will love it there. Wow, what a fun Dad! It is so nice to have your own time with her. I am sure that she will be very happy about seeing all of the animals. They also have a storyteller there and everyone sits around a fire and listens. It is very cool. Have a wonderful time!

Have fun - Id stay at the AK if you could afford to

DS & I are having a mother/son vaca next Aug. I have PO/Riverside booked for 3nights before we stay "home" at the VWL for 6nights
DS is asking for Animal Kingdom Lodge - if a discount becomes avail I'll try to switch PO/Riverside

Don't worry, she will absolutely love AKL. It's not boring at all and they have tons of things to do and see. My DD was 5 when she went and never got bored. Enjoy your time with her. Remember, a lot of the magic comes from within us; with the right attitude, it's tough to have a bad time (yes, I know, sometimes bad things happen, but we need to make the best of it and move on).

Listen - be thankful you can stay there! You - and your DD - are going to fall in love with the place!
Request a room on the Zebra Trail. This will put you on the same side of this very huge resort (b/c of the wings) as the food court, pool, restaurants, main elevators...Also, request Arusha Savanna view (ZEBRAS!)
AKL has the very best kids activities, IMO. Junior researcher, Music of the Savanna, Flamingo Feedings, Animal tracking, Games with Savanna Guides, Cookie Decorating, African Folktales by the Firepit...The list goes on and on. The activities are fun and educational too!

Thank all of you for your replys!I just was having a hard time justifying the cost to my self much less my wife....229 a nite buys allott of room on priceline But this will be a daddy daughter trip i keep telling myself I am makeing memories that will last a life time,poor guy who marries her will have a tough road to plow.lol My daughter just doesnt understand what all it takes to do a special trip and the exta money to do it with....Thank god for overtime!and my wifes blessing...So thats how she has put up with me more than 25 yrs........
