We have ADR's for Kona, Coral Reef, San Angel, 50's PT, Boma, and Tony's (which I am thinking about changing to Ohana). My dad doesn't really want to go on this trip, but my brother and I do so he is being a good sport about everything (not to mention paying for everything!) Anyways, he put me in charge of picking the resort (Poly- which he doesn't really want but isn't complaining) and planning our TS meals to use on the DDP. I was just thinking about how I made the ADR's for places I wanted to try, but never really though about what my dad would like. I know he will like Kona, Coral Reef, 50's PT, but I am considering changing the other two. So my question is, what is your dad's/husband's/grandfather's/brother's favorite TS in WDW? My dad is in his 50's if that helps any. Any suggestions would be appreciated!

Biergarten seems to be a man's fave in our family...Teppan Edo as well. Also, I would skip Ohana...LOUD!! Also, what about something more upscale like Cali Grill??

I wanted to do Cali Grill or Jiko instead of Boma, but we are on the regular DDP and would like to have at least 1 sit down everyday. I guess we could pay OOP for something, but then doesn't that defeat the purpose of having the plan in the first place? I guess we could do just a CS dinner one night...

My FIL loved loved loved Concourse and Kona. I can't remember if Concourse is still open? He's a total meat and potatoes guy.

He also really enjoyed Raglan Road.

My Dad really enjoyed Raglan Road. The food was good, the dancer was great, and the band was out of this world. This ended up being his favorite of the week and we went to California Grill, Narcoossee's, Yachtsman, Artist Point, and Le Cellier as well.

When I last asked my husband what he wanted for a table service meal he said "that joint in Germany". We had a nice lunch at Biergarten. It's fun but not in a cutsy Disney sort of way. He also likes Sci Fi but for lunch and for the burgers. Again, fun but not cutsy.

Have you considered Marakesh for the "entertainment value"? ;)

Well, personally I like Artist Point at the WL, LTT in MK, and the Brown Derby at Disney Studios. Artist Point has the greatest Buffalo Steak (you can cut it with a fork and the flavor is devine), LTT is just great comfort food at dinner, and the Brown Derby again is their steaks, and Grapefruit Cake for dessert.

how 'bout Hoop Dee Doo Revue for a fun night out w/dad?!

or perhaps he would enjoy seeing you and your brother picked on at Primetime Cafe?

One of dh's fave WDW restaurants is Nine Dragons!

The only place Mr. FFerret REALLy enjoyed was Ohana. We're carnivores :)

For a smalltiem counter go with Columbia Harbor House.

My husband really liked Sci-Fi, we went there twice in the same trip. He also liked Beaches and Cream. He really wanted a good hamburger more than a steak.

DH's favorites are ESPN club and Boma.

BTW, DH is a plain beef and potato type redneck guy, but he loves Boma :confused3

Tony's (which I am thinking about changing to Ohana).

I think this would be an EXCELLENT move. Last time we tried Tony's, it was the pits! We tried Ohana's 2 trips ago and have been there several times already. It's a must do for my DH. He LOVES  the meat at Ohana! I didn't think it was too noisy (and I'm picky about that!). I especially think it'd be a good move since you're staying at the Poly. Nice & convenient!

Hope you have a great trip!!

Haha, yes! And he grew up in the 50's so I think he would like the theme there, so I already have made that ADR. My mom doesn't like asian food so no China or Japan places for us, although Kona is kind of Asian-inspired she is still excited about it. My little brother can't wait to go to Coral Reef b/c right now he is into animals and aquariums and all of that.

Alright, thanks for the suggestions everyone!
