First time to Disney with lovely wife, 8 yr old daughter/ 4 yr son. Will be there Oct.6-13. I've got most of my ADR's. (I've learned most everything from this site, I've been lurking for 3 months).

My concern is I have just reserved an appt. for my daughter for the Bippity Boppity Boutique for Thursday at 11 am and I want her to feel extra special that day as she enjoys her make over.

We're sched for b'fast in the castle the following day, but nothing that evening and I need to fill a couple more spots for Table Service meals. Please recommend a "fancy" restaurant for the family, esp. for my daughter to fell like a princess...

Reservations already :
Coral Reef
Crystal Palace
Sci Fi
Ohana
Le'Cellier
Chef Mickey- bfast
Cind. Royal Table- bfast (oop )

You could consider going to the Princess Dinner at Auskerhuas (sp?) in Epcot that evening. The night we went there was Belle, Jasmine, Prince Ali and Arora(sp). Both my dd (5) and ds(3) enjoyed it.

No matter where you go she'll feel like a princess!!!

^^^ Hey there neighbor..I am in Cleveland!!!:wave2:

I have 2 little princesses and we have been to both of those dinners and I would choose the Gala feast over Akershus. If you have picky eaters the food at Akershus is just a bit on the exotic side in my opinion. I don't know if they have changed the menu or anything since we last went, but if you are just looking for atmosphere she will see more of the princesses at Akershus, where at the Gala Feast she will only see Cinderella, Prince Charming , the mice and the Fairy Godmother.

Have a Wonderful time on your trip!!!

Ditto on Gala Feast at GF, we took a 5yr dolled up Princess and she fit right in. Also there were plenty of brothers causing havoc(in a nice way), so your 4yo should enjoy his time too!

1900 Park Fare ...all of you will love it!! Prince Charming is there for dinner!

Try for the Cinderella dinner at 1900 Park Fare. Our little princess loved it - great character interaction, good food, and a really gorgeous atmosphere. The Grand Floridian is amazing!

Wow, small world !!

Thanks for the help.. It's amazing, I've been stressing so much over this trip and trying to get everything lined up, that I'm just certain as soon as we get there we'll just want to hang by the pool.....: -)

I'll probably go with Gala Feast for the main reason to go see that resort... GF looks incredible... (too bad I couldn't pay the $$$ to stay there)
Plus the menu at Akershus seemed a little iffy.

Any other don't miss for the week you could recommend?

I'm a little nervous about arrival night dinner @ Coral Reef... I'm thinking maybe changing that to Chef Mickey's and riding the monorail around to see the property.......(i read that was cool)

Thanks again guys for helping me out.

We love the Garden Grill in Epcot. Also your little one will enjoy Play and Dine at Hollywood and Vine for Breakfast or Lunch MGM. It has JOJO Goliath and June and Leo from Little Einsteins. Breakfast is very good, my dgd age 4 had a blast

I agree 1900 pf is great!! My ds had his b-day there and got a crown a cupcake, a placemat and the whole room sang. Akershus food was not popular with my kids but they loved the characters haven't been there in few years because I didn’t like the food!! Make sure you tell someone its her b-day where ever you go so they can make it extra special for her!

Also I went to cr for the view of the tank couldn’t even see any fish!! And the food was ok. I would personally switch to cm especially scene you have young kids!

Our last trip we took DD6 to Whispering Canyon because she wanted BBQ ribs for her b-day dinner. I told them it was her b-day and they were GREAT!!! They played it up and the food was really good. then it was time for them to bring out her cake and all the servers took spoons from behind their backs and ate her cake in front of her.. The look on her face was priceless!!! They brought out another cake and a card signed by eeryone. She said she will never forget that b-day!!!

Another fav of my kids is Liberty Tree Tavern...it is like having a real homecooked meal. We love it!!! The character interaction there is great too!! Chip and Dale are hilarious>> Oh at the Gala Feat don't forget to try to the Strawberry Soup!! It is YUMMY!!!!
