Dacky Adventures have been UPDATED- Pg 2 Posts 24-27!

The Saratoga Springs Resort is just beautiful. I absolutely couldn’t help but stare at the water, the buildings, the tiny details…every time we stepped foot back on the property.

If you’ve never stayed there and love staying on-site, this is one to make a reservation at. It’s quiet, gorgeous, scenic, and from some parts of the resort, a quick walk to Downtown Disney.

For your viewing pleasure, here are just a few of the 200+ photos that I took while wandering the resort:

And there you have it! 24 pictures of Saratoga Springs! I absolutely loved it and hope you enjoyed this break in the report to check out the resort :)

Next Up: Back to the Magic Kingdom...where something less than magical happened.

I have been a bad TRer...but with fall break next week I plan to kick it in to high gear and finish this baby up!

Sorry for the slacking :worried:

Finally back to trip reporting!!!

August 1- Magic Kingdom!

Back to the Magic Kingdom and we are on a mission: meet the Tremaines. Meeting the characters is possibly one of my all time favorite things to do in the World.

We wandered all around the castle, the carousel, Belle’s story area…and that is where we found Lady Tremaine herself! Turns out her daughters were still prettying themselves in their rooms.

We chatted with Lady T. for a bit, and had a picture with her before wandering off.

We went for a fastpass for Space Mountain, pressed some pennies and then rode Buzz and the TTA.

Reason #324 why we need to start having kids, so I stop torturing DH and making him pose for these pics hahaha (FYI, this is just the beginning):
Tomorrowland15.jpg

After the TTA we made our way into the Monster’s Inc Laugh Floor where my hubby made “Monster of Comedy” while in the waiting area. :rotfl2:

Tomorrowland113.jpg

The show was great! Sam and Ella (the yellow, 2 headed monster) picked me to answer a question- “Where are you from?” “Pennsylvania” Sam: “ooooh that is a place full of volcanoes and it’s famous for being the location of the Eifel Tower. Am I right? Am I???” I laughed and responded “sort of” before they moved on to someone else’s state which is also famous for the location of the Eifel Tower.

When Roz let us out of the Laugh Floor, we went back on our mission to find the step sisters and we were in luck! They were hanging out near the teacups.

They were worth the wait in line- asking us if we knew any jokes since we just came from the Laugh Floor. Drizella told us a pirate joke (“what is a pirate’s favorite letter? Rrrrrrrrrr”) DH was embarrassed by the joke I told- “What kind of vehicle does Mickey drive? A MINNIE van” but it cracked the sisters up. After our joke session, we snapped a picture and were on our way to lunch!

Characters1.jpg

We ate at Cosmic Rays, DH enjoyed the ribs and I had the chicken sandwich. I love Cosmic Rays…Sonny Eclipse is always a highlight for me!

After lunch, we made our way to Adventureland where we met Pirate Goofy before going into Pirates of the Caribbean!

Boy was he cute in his pirate outfit!

We love Pirates of the Caribbean! Such wonderful theming!

After the ride, we grabbed some more pennies and decided it was time to move on.

Next stop: Downtown Disney...and then dinner at the Hoop dee doo Revue!

An Afternoon in Downtown Disney

Saratoga Springs has a wonderful mode of transportation to DD that we took advantage of…a ferry boat!

DSCN5453.jpg

We very much enjoyed the ride and the sites…

Once at Downtown Disney, we wandered all over the shops! We did a lot of browsing this day (saved the purchasing for another day…oh, just wait! Lol).

We stayed for about a little over an hour before going back to SSR and showering and getting ready for the most amazing time at the Hoop Dee Doo EVER.

Next up! Hoop Dee Doo Revue! with videos? (if I can figure out how to upload and share ‘em!

Dinner at the Hoop Dee Doo Revue!

We’ve been to Pioneer Hall once before- we came for a meal during our honeymoon but I was dealing with some serious stomach issues that day and didn’t enjoy the experience as much as I wished….so this was going to make up for it! Except, we had no idea Disney would spread so much pixie dust on us this night!

Anyway, we took the ME over to the Magic Kingdom…here’s a pic of us waiting for our bus at our resort:

DSCN5475.jpg

From MK, we took the ferry over to the campground, let them know we were there, and hung out outside until they rang the bell for supper!

When they called our names, we followed our lovely hostess to our seats…which were all the way in the front center. I am talking I could touch the stage I am that close seats. I asked DH why we were given such a treat and he had no idea. He said he didn’t plan it, he put no notes on the reservation, and that it must be just luck and pixie dust! :wizard: *squeal*

It was amazing.

You know the show is going to be good when they shine a light on your DH’s head and one of the characters says “the shine off that thing is blinding everyone!” :rotfl2:

The food was delicious, and the entertainment…well, let’s let the pictures and videos speak for that!

If you watch any video here, this is the one. Sixpense talked and talked to me during this part of the show and on and off for the rest of entire performance.

Time for dessert!

Hoopdeedoo12.jpg

The show was hilarious from beginning to end! Sixpense and I really bonded- at one point he lipped "I love you" and Clara flashed DH with her underskirt (and he was oblivious! meanwhile her man was glaring at mine lol).

It decided to storm like crazy during the show, and it continued after. Obviously, with lightening, the ferries weren't working so we had to figure out how to manuever through the camp grounds on the busses. It took a long time, and 2 or 3 bus rides on the purple and yellow bus routes, but we got the hang of it and were back to the MK and SSR and in bed by the time it stopped raining buckets.

TR followers…if you’ve never experienced the Hoop Dee Doo Revue, please try to on your next trip. It’s a deliciously entertaining dinner show!

Next up: Epcot

August 2- A Whole Day at Epcot!

We began our day at rope-drop, and sped off with the crowd to Soarin’. We were able to grab fastpasses and then jumped right in line to experience it bright and early.

TheLand-Soarin.jpg

It gave us a chance to really check out the queue. I’ll be honest with you…I don’t know if I’ve ever stopped and just looked at those screens but they are beautiful!

We spent some time in the Land and then as soon as the World Showcase opened we were on our way to Japan- Mission: Pick a Pearl. We actually took a ferry over to Morocco and then walked to Japan. I was expecting a long line but not a soul was picking a pearl just yet!

We went right to it and I must say…if we ever have a daughter, this will be something she and I do together. It was so much fun and very magical.

WorldShowcaseJapanPickaPearl3.jpg

My pearl was a measly 7mm but looks marvelous in the setting I choose for it!
Moving on, we continued to enjoy the WS….we rode both boat rides in Mexico and Norway again (I love them!) and just enjoyed the atmosphere of each country. Before we knew it, it was time to head over to the Beach Club for lunch!

DH has read all about Beaches and Cream and was really excited about this experience! So we went, took the ferry from Epcot to the Boardwalk resort and then went hunting for Beaches and Cream.

BoardwalkResort5.jpg

beachesandcream.jpg

The atmosphere was wonderful and wow was the place packed! We got a seat at the counter where Melanie served us. DH enjoyed a hamburger while I had a hotdog. Our dessert was the No Way Jose. I thought it came with hot fudge…but there was no fudge to be found among all the peanut butter so lovely Melanie gave me a bowl of hot fudge to add to our dessert. Best server ever!

beachesandcream4.jpg

When we got back to Epcot, we headed to the American Adventure where we enjoyed the performances immensely- especially the singers of the preshow!

WorldShowcaseAmericanAdventure.jpg

We moved on and hung out in Italy for a bit. While DH was buying Italian candies for his mom (she was born in Sicily, Italy) I got sucked into a cute street show that involved guests- The actors retold Hamlet.

WorldShowcase10.jpg

After our adventures in the World Showcase, we made our way to the Chase Visa Character Spot and had a great time with the characters…as my DH’s photopass border choices will show you:

Photo0052.jpg

Photo0045.jpg

And finally, a real border lol:
Photo0055.jpg

After that was all done, we went and grabbed FPs for Test Track and jumped into the line for Mission Space.

MissionSpace4.jpg

Mission Space is definitely not for anyone with claustrophobia, that’s for sure.
After that, we headed over to use our FPs for Soarin’. Once done with that, we used our FPs for Test Track and then headed for Spaceship Earth! We always have to do SE on our exit of Epcot. (check out our video below!)

We left Epcot around 5. When we got back to our resort we spent 2 fantastic hours in the quiet pool and happened to get our laundry done at the same time since it’s conveniently right by the pool! At one point, the pool was totally empty…just DH and I…so romantic <3 (minus the laundry haha)

Around 7 we went back to our room, then up to Artist’s Palate for dinner. I had the chicken parm and DH had the chicken nuggets. For dessert- cheese cake for him and a rice krispy treat for me!

And so another magical day in Disney ends…

Next up: Animal Kingdom!
