D7000 auto focus problem

I am in disney now and noticed tonight that my view finder shows a red grid when I press the shutter half way and does not seem to autofocus in the view. Seem pictures com out ok but it does not seem to visually lock on. Just a flashing red grid

Anyone know what is going on or how to fix it?

Is there not a little dot that shows up once focus has been achieved, indicating the focus area? Also what AF servo mode do you have the camera set on?

Rd dot for focus point shows up. Tried several different focus types and lens
