D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event 8/9/24-8/11/24 **Tickets on sale 3/26** **Sold Out on 3/29**

I really really enjoyed that tonight. I wouldn't necessarily consider myself a Meghan Trainor fan, but that Tuppence was unbelievable (especially that orchestra section).

I think the only thing that was lacking were the specific spots where this stuff is getting built. (I think the Cars stuff fell flat because Josh almost made it sound like they were tearing down the old Frontierland to build it.) Apart from the stuff we already know about, it made things feel slightly more "blue sky" to me.

I actually ended up walking back from Honda Center, and I got back ahead of a bunch of the busses - there was a line of five or six turning off West onto Katella when I crossed that intersection.

Ok got group 39 for Marketplace...

Please tell me when I have to be there? Will be coming form Tropicana, what entrance to use....

Also would love to try and find standby line for MOG. Today is all about shopping. Not a pin collector so just trying to see what's the what.

Thanks,

Use the entrance on Katella.

We enjoyed the Honda Center last night, but can someone let me know who the heck that opening band was? It was weird that they didn't play any Disney music at all.

I really enjoyed the entertainment. :rockband:

I was surprised they didn't mention more about Disneyland Resort's future.
Am I missing anything:

1) Walt animatronic
2) New Smugglers Run video tied to Mandalorian (date not announced)
3) 2 new Avengers rides
4) Avatar and Coco at DCA

As someone who does not care about my Fornight, Cruises, or Intl parks…. and will go to DL significantly more than WDW…. I was hoping for more on DLand FWD…

avatar and coco at DCA. Zootooia is replacing its tough to be a but at DAK.

Thank you.

So lots of DCA stuff…. but nothing really exciting at Disneyland….

I guess I should just be happy that didn’t turn more of the park into Princess and the Frog….
I’m guessing that Disneyland announcements will be at the next expo and will probably focus on Tomorrowland. Everything announced last night is being built and will open in the next 5 years. The Disneyland forward project is a 10 year development plan so they’ve only scratched the surface on what’s coming.

I mean tbf, Disneyland just finished Mickey and Minnies, Haunted Mansion refurb (I know nothing major) and Tiana’s is opening in Nov + Critter country refurb and they added a new dining didn’t they? Adding capacity to DCA is smart to balance out DL. DLFwd is definitely going to be a slower trickle of things over a longer period of time. And I’m sure we’ll get more in the next couple years for Disneyland.

I’m the opposite where most of my time is spent at WDW (that might change if a little move to SoCal happens 🫣, though WDW will always be my home park) but I actually think DCA was the winner of last nights announcements with 4 new rides on the slate for a single park. At least it’s in California where new projects are being invested in, if not DL or DLFwd. I think only the MK expansion has as many rides proposed for one park (2 in Cars land and 2 in Villains land?). The Coco dark ride, reminiscent of classic Pirates/HM, sounds amazing it’s one of the things I’m most looking forward to out of all the announcements.

I’m sorry they are turning Critter Country into Bayou country…. Man they took a movie I liked and have made me have a viseral negative reaction to it being shoved down my throat…..

As this is a Disneyland forum…. Disneyland is getting jipped…. who cares about a ride refurb? Absolutely no one wanted Splash rethemed…. so that doesn’t do anything.

How about putting a 3rd attraction in Star Wars land? Do something…. SOMETHING with Tomorrowland ….
