D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event 8/9/24-8/11/24 **Tickets on sale 3/26** **Sold Out on 3/29**

Any chance your extra spots are for Wolverine or Muppets panel?
BTW, I just read a note in the schedule for the Muppets panel: "NOTE: The Muppets will not be making live appearances in this session" 😞
Sad because one of the most memorable moments in '22 for be was having them sing live to the audience.

Sorry, going through everything and trying to get organized. Do the Honda Center tickets match with specific badge numbers?

In my Uber on the way from the airport, so excited. Staying at the Hilton.

Just wanted to thank everyone here for the help and community commiseration over the several months of occasional head-scratching leading up to this weekend. Kungaloosh!

I’ll keep trying to share tips here during the weekend if I run into anything worth knowing. I’ll be at the park for D23 Day tomorrow so if you’re there and you spot anything really cool, share! :)

Arrived yesterday to make it out before the storm grounds flights in our area. Staying at Hyatt Place close to the ACC (free on points!), then the Grand Cal after the convention
Glad you arrived safely!

We're staying at HP as well. We're spending tomorrow in the parks and will check in the hotel in the afternoon. PM me if you want to meet up.

What time are folks planning on arriving at the ACC on Friday? My local friend is thinking 8 AM even though she's not trying to get in early for shopping purposes and we have an RSP for the first panel we want to go to. I guess it's hard to gauge how the security lines will be

I’m planning for 7am because of security and everyone who gets there early will be loaded in first if it’s like past years.

I'm flying in now. First leg left at 5:10am eastern, but worth it to connect to lie-flat seats all the way from JFK to LAX! I'll be at the Sheraton on points and snagged a mid afternoon res at Carnation Cafe if I'm still awake. I realize I'll miss a chunk of the D23 Day events but coming all the way from Vermont takes a minute!

At D23 Day now. Seems a bit more crowded than I’d expect for a “normal” day but not insanity. LL times are normal (I think). Got in Haunted Mansion VQ at 8:30am, with boarding group 122 and they’re on 48 now at 10:30. So that also seems reasonable.

Noticed a bunch of people with the D23 blue ear hats that were complimentary. I didn’t see them being handed out so I either missed it or they went within the first minutes/hours, which I would have expected.

Only D23 specific thing I’ve noticed is a picture background where the Christmas tree or giant pumpkin are in the main plaza. And a long long line coming out of the Candy Kitchen for people trying to buy the special D23 Day collectible medallions. They had a cast member there helping with the machine which was apparently on the fritz. I kinda wanted to get them but not for an hour line. They would have been better off just slapping the four coins in bags and selling them at the counter.

They ran out of the hats by 9:30. I think people were taking multiples

Lines for merchandise everywhere. Not only the medallions but the Tarzan stuff, make your own Mickey ears, Thomas Kincade, Crislu and Citizen.
Longer than normal lines for classic PhotoPass (ex. Partners statue, castle, hard to find characters, etc.)

Calvacade route is starting to get crowded.

DL feels crazy busy right now - though I usually avoid busy days like this.

Btw - the medallion machine in Downtown Disney was set to sell all four for $30 - it looked like the only way to buy them was as a set.

It’s way busier today than it was on July 17 for Disneyland’s birthday. I think MK’s becoming unblocked mixed with last minute pre back to school trips are probably playing into crowds this week.
