D23 Free Membership - available for canadians??

I've been trying to sign up for the "free" membership in the Disney store and I can't get past the final checkout. It keeps asking for a valid address.
Anyone here signed up for this? Just wondering if this is another thing we're unable to get with a Canadian address or if I'm doing something wrong.

I signed up using my hotels address - I figured as everything is accessible via the internet, and no actual physical information would be sent to me..... I haven't tried to access the site yet - sign up suggested it would take about 24 hours for my registration to process before I should try.

I had the same problem. I ended up using my dad's Seattle address to sign up.

Were you logged in to the Disney Store or just trying to 'purchase' the membership? I was getting error messages but once I logged in, the process was fast and easy. They sent an email confirmation so I know it worked.

I just signed up for a free D23 membership using the address of a relative in the U.S. who I've shipped items from disneystore.com to before(the address was already stored in my account). I tried using my own address and it wouldn't let me.

Yes, it is available to Canadians but it didn't become available to Canadians and other international customers until yesterday, June 18th. Before that you couldn't complete the free "purchase" on the Disney store because they wouldn't yet "ship" to an international address. As the 18th you can complete the "purchase" and they now do "ship" to international addresses, but D23 then makes you wait an additional 24 hrs to be able to complete your registration on the D23 site. Seems way to awkward to me but at least Canadians can now join up.

I now have a member number. Does that mean I wait another 24 hours to sign up? I keep getting an error that my name and member number do not match!

You have to wait 24 hrs from the time you get the membership number on he Disney store site. You will get that error until the time is up.

It's been over 24 hours since I received the member number from Disney and it still gives me errors.

Figured it out ... They are very picky on passwords. You have to use uppercase & lowercase & special characters ... Finally got it.
