D23 Expo

Anybody going to the expo this year? I just booked my trip. Got a great deal on a direct flight from Toronto to LA and staying at the Ramada across the street. Did anyone go last time? I am so excited!!! Plus I get to see the new Little Mermaid ride and WoC and visit Mimi's and Cheesecake Factory!!! And as I continue to ramble the Sanuk store at DTD. I had a pair of these sandals when we went to DL 2yrs ago and I can't wait to buy some more, for some reason nobody has them here in Canada.

Yup, we're going and have no idea what to expect...and we were goofy enough to buy the 2nd tier tickets! Maybe you can help give us some direction. All we have is flight and partial hotel booked. I think Hyatt?

40 trips to WDW but first time to Disneyland. Very excited!

Will be attending the D23 Expo. I am quite excited. I have heard that there is so much to do and to keep you busy for the whole weekend. I didn't go last year, but am SUPER excited to go this year!!!!

I remember when we went to Dl for the first time as I mentioned above thinking how small and close together is at DL. I was so used to the buffer zones between lands and the parks being so far apart at WDW that DL was quite a shock.

I bought my Expo the other day, so excited.

We're trying to go, but looks like we might end up having to go to DL a couple weeks prior to that. We're not sure exactly pull off D23, plus our normal 3 days at the park since I just got a new job.

Anyhoo, we're excited to go too. Star Tours and Little Mermaid will be open by June 2nd and also there's a new Soundsational Parade at DL, opening Memorial Day weekend. Also, at DCA, the Paradise Pier restaurants, beer garden and Goofy's Sky School, will all be open by the time you go as well. I can't wait to see CarsLand which is only a year away from opening. It's huge!

We're going, but only doing Friday for D23, and then the weekend in the parks.

After that we're driving the coast up to SFO. Should be a gas!!

Drat! I was so hoping you guys were going to the Expo (partly for selfish reasons) because I know you're DL experts and also hoping to meet you.
But, yes, I'm still glad you got the new job! Now perhaps you can have the "Sisters" say a prayer for me on the job front!

I went to the first Expo in 2009. I had also been to all ten of the Disneyana Conventions (1992 - 2001). My response about the Expo was I was greatly underwhelmed! With the exception of some of the seminars (which were very difficult to get into, everything could be done in one day.

Aw, sorry hon. It's just not working out this year for us to go. Honestly, unless you're going to spend open until close at the Expo and try to see all the various meetings, the rest of the Expo can be seen in one day. That leaves only night time in the parks. We had a nice time last year, but wasn't dying to go again this year.

We'll put good thoughts to God, goddess and the Universe for a job for you.

My sister and I are getting ready to go to the expo! We've never been to Disneyland before and we're excited! I got a premiere pass. Anyone else staying near the Sheraton Park hotel? I'd love to meet fellow D23 members!
