D23 Expo September 9-11, 2022 Superthread **Updates in Posts 2 & 3**

It doesn’t hurt transfer and will increase your odds of getting the panel and signing that you want. Plus, D23 is saying the badges need to be transferred. There could be unforeseen problems if you don’t do the transfer. Is there some reason that you don’t want to do it? It’s very easy. I transferred 3 successfully.
Honestly just didn’t find it necessary since we‘ll be there together the whole time, and most likely would have the same panel/talent interests if so be any that if it was something I didn’t have to do then I wouldn’t is all.

It doubles your chances of getting the panels you want by transferring. You can select panels and add a +1, and so can the person to whom you transferred the badge.

I need some insight on how children badges work. DH and I have 3-Day badges, and we have friends joining us. They are a couple with a child; one adult has a 3-Day badge, the other and the child both have Saturday badges. I've already transferred badges to DH and to the two adult friends joining us. But I can't transfer the child badge. I know children can't select panels RSVPs anyway, but what happens if one of our friends gets an RSVP and the other doesn't? Can they bring the other adult as a +1 and the child?

Someone on reddit was able to access the panel RSP page today (I'm not sure if they were able to log their requests, it shouldn't matter anyway since it's randomized not first come, first served). Lots of giveaways and meet & greets listed for each day.

Here's the link with screenshots (apologies to mods if this isn't allowed):

Hi
Do you know pls how if works the reservation process that opens up today?
Thanks
Hi there!

Not entirely sure since this process is new to this year, but here's what we do know:

- Today when reservations start (noon Disneyland time), people will be put into a queue to manage website traffic
- The queue has nothing to do with your ability to secure a reservation, since you'll be making requests.
- There may not be a queue later this week, since traffic will likely be lower. You have until noon Disneyland time this Friday to edit your selections, and it doesn't matter when you make them during that time
- Starting 9/2, you'll be notified which experiences you secured reservations for (after Disney does their random selection process)
- Based on a leaked preview, you'll be able to make selections per day based on disney's guidelines, here: https://d23.com/expo-2022-reservations/

So if we didn't transfer badges, since my family member is still on the fence. I can only just make reservations selections on one badge. But can I still choose the plus 1 option? Like another person said my family member if they do go would be just going to the same panels as me. But I didn't want to transfer the badge in case they didn't want to go. I have a hall 23 d preferred pass and those panels are the ones I really wanted to go to. After looking at the panel schedule there were only 3 other panels I would be interested in for the other days and locations and if I don't get into them it's not a big deal.

But if my family member does go with me I want to make sure they can still go into hall d23 with me.

That is my understanding. Good luck!

As a preferred badge holder you will not be able to add on reservations for any of the hall panels. Until the rsp launches we won’t know if you can make reservations for the other badge since it was not transferred.

Per the ticket notes: You are not permitted to bring other guests with General Admission badges into the Hall D23 Preferred Seating.

Does your family member also have a preferred seating badge? The +1 option is only for reservations made through the RSP system. So they can join you for any panel reservations you obtain for stages other than Hall D23, but they will also need a preferred seating badge in order to get into Hall D23 with you.

It's here all week, well at least until Friday. No rush. It's random, not first come/first serve.

I really appreciate they put this notice in (although we all know many will ignore it):

I was checking it out because why not, but definitely not waiting in a queue for this and had no plans to since they were very clear this would be a multi day window to make selections for preferences. Really appreciate how much more easy going this is and not a mad rush like most things that Disney breaks out Queue It for.

I also noticed the Queue ID link is back 👀. Disney hid it during the general drop for OBB and it took some source code digging to locate it. Not that it matters to share these links since the queue doesn't really matter. But still noted that it returned.
