Last D23 they announced Movie Ride and Energy are closing in a month so surprising they didn’t say SSE would close September 30th when illuminations endsThese presentations are ALL positive so they won’t address anything like that here. This will quietly come out later as a multi-month closure is not good press (despite what we receive on the other end)![]()
I think the coco in the poster is cause the mariachi show that was supposed to just be for flower and garden has been extended indefinitelyNo Coco overlay which I was hoping for after that Epcot display.
Near Disney. Many International guests do not have Target...and wish we did. Guessing others like me like this announcement. Why would they open a target at Walt Disney world
I like Cirque shows so I’m excited. Can understand why people don’t but some people, myself included, will be looking forward to this. I’m so excited Eric is involved!
A closure for a replacement and a refurbishment are different IMO. The news of movie and energy closures was unavoidable at the last D23.Last D23 they announced Movie Ride and Energy are closing in a month so surprising they didn’t say SSE would close September 30th when illuminations ends

The Genie thing doesn’t surprise me. I say so often to my DH during planning that I have no idea how someone not familiar with the parks and touring isn’t completely overwhelmed.
Yes - I am very much looking forward to this! And, I do love the Walt statue, too.
I have very mixed feelings about the SE overhaul. Our family loves that ride so much...flaws and all. So, I’m sad to think of the changes that will take things away that we love - even just the narration changing. But, as a pragmatist, I know that it can’t stay the same forever, and I’ll just trust that the new version will be awesome. Needless to say, I am desperately hoping it will be open when we go in October, and we will be riding it multiple times as if it is a farewell.

Would have been nice to see more on Paris now it is fully Disney owned as the studios there need so much love and attention. Not visiting again until that all changes as it really is a one park only. The studios simply don’t count, it’s not even a half day park.
they said they did when I watched last night I was the guy who asked about the shirt and other things still wondering where he got that shirtSuper excited for the long overdue Epcot changes! I thought the new song was magic. It was perfection.
Now I just need Craig & Ryno and crew to chat live later and my day will be complete..
A $2.5 billion expansion for Studios was announced last year. Adding Star Wars, Marvel, and Frozen lands.

I'm guessing this will come out when the shareholders meeting gets broadcast I would not be surprised if it was a 1 billion dollar price tag for it. I think that's where the 2.5 number came from no?Sorry didn’t explain myself very well. I knew about the expansion but would have been nice to see a bit more information.
I think the way they are going to monetize is by having all those 10$ pp cancelation fees when people dont call back and argue lol.Feels like something they will want to monetize - like a "free" version but also a concierge level that sets up everything for you .... Or maybe will be another sales pitch for travel agents that can "program your genie" for you
