I saw somewhere that it will be World Nature, World Discovery and World Celebration replacing Future World

Makes sense. I was guessing Nature World for Seas/Land side, Technology World for Energy/Space side, and wasn't sure about the central area. Imagination World or Discovery World?

The guardians one I never really got but I think Moana fits for her tie to water and I feel like this attraction sounds more edutainment based.

I hope so. In fairness I only saw bits and pieces of what it was supposed to be, but I just heard “Moana” and “Epcot” together and cringed.

You may change your mind when one of Florida's famous rain squals come through. The Electric Umbrella was our shelter for least 3 visits to EPCOT.

True but when it’s 95 and humid, I’d rather have some shade than the open concrete reflecting the heat into my soul

I think if you think of it more of a water feature/garden that is near the Land and Seas pavilions and then is just themed a bit to Moana it makes more sense than like "Moana attraction in EPCOT"

That’s true. I heard “attraction” and assumed a dark ride of sorts, but this water garden thing actually kinda works especially as a transition to the land/sea pavilions. I’d also rather have something like this than the abandoned sad innoventions building there now

I definitely feel with a lot of these changes they aren't necessarily everything I would pick if I was in charge, but a) they could be waaaaaay worse and b) are often replacing something that, at least in current state, is not amazing

Exactly and so far, it seems the IP push is just background theming more than anything, probably a way for the imagineers to get it greenlit

I heard a rumour ages ago that the Guardians ride would include references to all old Epcot attractions - something along the lines that Quill had visited when he was a kid. Although with it definitely being called the Xandarian (spelling might be iffy there) Outpost that seems less likely I do agree that Epcot doesn't seem like the best natural fit for GotG, but Epcot needs all the help it can get and it finally seems like it's getting it. And I cannot deny that the ride building so far seems impressive.
