That's it? seriously??? Universal announces a whole new theme park,
and we get a super secret tv Special?? :sad2:
Universal is trying to catch up to Disney and they still have a long way to go. The leader doesn't let the follower drive them. Besides, since Universal added a new theme park, we got New Fantasyland, Pandora, TSL and SWGE; we're about to get Ratatouille, M&MRR, Tron, etc., and we'll hear on Sunday about the replacement for Future World and a bunch of other improvements coming our way. Universal had better start trying harder if they want to keep up.

I don’t disagree but I’m not surprised in anyway. Disney+ is what the Disney company is riding its future on. All the marbles are on Disney+ so expect a lot about it this week.
Including the whole day today. It is a big deal. Just look at Comcast - they get ten times as much money from their cable systems than from theme parks. The future of entertainment is streaming, not theme parks or theaters, and you need to be one of the two three or four services to survive.

LOVED the video! I know it’s concept art, so I shouldn’t get my hopes up, but I loved the feel of a “Central Park” with lots of paths and trees and spaces for entertainment. It plays into the neighborhood concept. I will speculate that the Moana attraction will be walk-through, not a ride, where the water is accessible to play in & with.

ETA: Since I didn’t read the News & Rumors thread first, I realize what I stated about Moana is not really speculation,. 🙄

They just need a Moana M&G along with this attraction.

I feel like FW is becoming the new land of misfit toys like HS used to be.

People always forget about the international parks as well. Millions being spent in Tokyo and in the future, DLP. I know they aren’t owned by Disney 100% so perhaps that is why people tend to forget them.

Tokyo isn't, but Disneyland Paris is since 2017 back to the Walt Disney Company, by buying 97% of the shares.

Yes sorry, forgot about DLP being fully owned now. Always forget it as not much as improved....but that’s another conversation!

I am really surprised nobody is discussing the strange double-decker outdoor space behind SE shown from around 4:35-5:40. Looks very interesting

At first I thought it might be where they're going to have the monorail exit from TTC...but then I realized that was too far in the park to be realistic. But yeah that does look interesting....
