D23 Events

I’m a D23 gold member... I didn’t buy the family pack because it’s just me. There is no difference between the gold/family pack, save for the number of people who can get into the event.

They are offering a studio lot tour in Burbank on April 7th... exclusive to family gold members only...

Does this make sense to anyone?

Hi, I think you may have posted in the wrong Forum. This Forum is for discussion of Adventures by Disney, which offers guided tours all over the world. Are you asking about an Adventures by Disney tour, or a tour that D23 has set up?

Adventures by Disney does Studio tours as a part of longer, multi-day tours. I don't believe they do any one-off tours for D23 (but I could be wrong!)

I've never seen anyone mention a one-day tour by ABD.

Lets move this to the Disneyland Forum. Since the tour is in Burbank, perhaps someone can respond.

My guess would be that due to the popularity of of the tours, this would open up the day to the Gold Families that have more difficulty securing multiple spots in the rush when it’s a Gold free-for-all. The tour spots are limited in the number of people they accommodate.

They may also be tailoring the tour content, too.

I assumed this tour was being offered in response to parents who had requested to take more than one child. If only one parent is a D23 member, but wants to take a spouse and up to 2 children, then the usual tour set up won't work (1 Gold Member + 1 guest). This configuration allows a family to take the tour together. Agree with the pp that the tour content may be adjusted for more families with kids.
