D/FW Saturday August 19 Meet @ Mimi's in Grapevine

Too bad we missed.

I was just wondering about you today. I almost PM'd you a couple of days before the meet; mom and I were talking about how much fun you are and wondering if you'd be there. I miss you when you can't make it, but I sure understand with school just starting. I hope school is going well for the girls, and for the rest of the DFW DIS kiddos, too .

We are also DVC members at VWL. A couple of years ago we attended a DVC member get together arranged by emcanally(sp) who posted back then. There were quite a few members there that evening.

Don't know if anyone's been thinking about another meet anytime soon, but I promised Mad4Mickey I'd suggest a Sunday event for the next one. She works on Saturdays and can never make those. And I'm sure there are others out there that find Saturdays hard. So if y'all start discussions about another, can you keep that in mind.

(I'm up to my eyeballs getting ready for our trip to WDW and cruise in 2 weeks. Plus the construction at our house is still in progress, grrrrr!!! Must get a couple rooms cleared out before we leave so a water-damaged wood floor can be replaced while we're gone. Oy, I don't think I'll be ready to leave in 12 days!)

We are buying a house, and close in 45 days, Then its 2 weeks of painting and installing hardwood floors in the living room and moving in.. After that we will be ready for a meet!
How about a mid December meet?Cool weather and maybe a Christmas ornament exchange for fun?????

I'm open for another Dis Meet (you don't have to twist my arm!). Let me know if I can help plan it. Since you ladies (RRBB and HaleyWhippet) look pretty swamped, I would be happy to plan it for a Sunday if you can just show up! We have to see your smiling faces there!

I think December is too far off, personally speaking. Also, it gets more and more challenging to meet during the holidays. How about early November, if RRBB and her crew is back?

We get back 10/26, so November works for us. And it looks like all our Sundays are open, except 11/26 (David's birthday.)

I guess I could sneek away for lunch on a Sunday, The 12th would be best for me because after the house closes I can't get away for a while, Unless ya'll want to come and help paint our new house
We have 2 weeks to get everything finished, and move out of this apartment..

Hello, everyone . A Sunday in November around 2 o'clock (which is after church-times/lunch crowds but before my only church service at 6) sounds good to me. Just as a suggestion, the small meet we had a couple of times ago at the Texas Roadhouse on 121 proved that that location might be a good meeting spot. They are able to move the tables around pretty easily to suit big groups, kind of like La Hacienda Ranch is.

Texas Roadhouse on 121 at around 2 pm on a Sunday in November sounds like a plan to me. What about on the 12th? Too much later and we are tapping into Thanksgiving time (can you believe it ? ? ?).
