Magdalene and I have mentioned that we volunteer for a youth exchange organisation, I think. I will accompany 32 German students on their flight to their host country for the next 10 months (I’m very glad that it is an inner European Union flight, so now visas or customs necessary). I will also attend their arrival orientation and on the last two days visit Helsinki and meet our first exchange student, who stayed with us 1989/90 and whom I haven’t seen for something like 15 years! I’m very excited!

Magdalene and I have mentioned that we volunteer for a youth exchange organisation, I think. I will accompany 32 German students on their flight to their host country for the next 10 months (I’m very glad that it is an inner European Union flight, so now visas or customs necessary). I will also attend their arrival orientation and on the last two days visit Helsinki and meet our first exchange student, who stayed with us 1989/90 and whom I haven’t seen for something like 15 years! I’m very excited!

Oh, that IS very exciting!! They are in for the experience of their lifetime! And it's extra special that you get to meet your first exchange friend. You'll have so much to catch up on! Yes, being an internal flight will certainly take some of the travel stress off- safe jounreys!

Nope, Tate has to stay behind in the airport. He'll be ok. I'm sure he'll have stories to tell of his flight and his time in the luggage storage area.

I was house-sitting last night and got a frantic call from Lisa (Lauren's Mom) that Richard (Lauren's Dad) was having some symptoms of heat exhaustion.

Evidently Richard spent the last two days working in the yard and it has been 100 degrees here with heat indicies toward 110 - the humidity is horrible! He must not have been good with his fluids.

He was having trouble breathing and she had to rush him to the ER. They kept him through most of the night giving him fluids and checking his labs. I have not talked to them this morning - I went over there last night to get the kids in bed and barely got 5 hours sleep myself - so I am tired today! But they were home from the hospital - so I assume he is doing fine now.

How many aunts does she have anyway?

1. Ribs a little better today and first morning I did NOT wake up coughing.

2. It is a slow process. He still ahs trouble with bread and meats, but he is getting there (I guess you could say part of the good news is that he has lost a few pounds and I know the cardio will put him on a diet).

3. It was our pleasure--it's not much, just a few little things for her to do until you go in December.

4. Two -- Me and Liesa. But I'm sure many others will step up and offer to be aunts too. How could you not -- she is just too precious.

Aren't women always a chatty bunch? Although, the couple I went out with for dinner last night has quite a chatty guy component. Whew, he'd talk the rear end off a rhino!

Hello, all my friends in DISdom! Tate O’Patty here stopping in to give my greetings, and to say good-bye for a time.

For those of you who don’t know me, I’m 7’s very special friend; have been since 2008. I have 2 passions in life: trying out new clothes and accessories and going to Disneyworld! Lately, I’ve been getting to sport all kinds of new duds, thanks to 7, and can’t wait to show them all off during our upcoming trip in just ONE MONTH EXACTLY!!!! Can you believe it?! When 7 told me that she was taking me to Disney along with her friends, I thought I’d never be saying our trip is only one month away! I’m so excited – almost as excited as the day she told me that some of you are even going to help me expand my wardrobe so I can be the most stylin’ tater out there.

I’m really not partial to men’s or women’s clothing. Sometimes I wake up and am just not sure who to be. I guess I’d say my clothes define me.

Well, anyway, 7 says it’s time to get ready for our trip. You see, we have to travel from a long, long ways away. So far, in fact, that it will take 7 and I SIX airplane rides to get there!!! Imagine that- 6 opportunities to become a tater statistic!! I guess 7’s not afraid to fly, but I sure am! I hear that millions upon millions of bags get lost every year. I mean what if I get lost?? Will my new owners understand my gender identity issues? Will they cater to my obsessive need for fashionable new clothes and most importantly, will they take me to see Mommy and Poppy Taterheads in Disneyworld??

Well, hopefully everything will turn out OK, because this is where I have to spend the next 4 weeks.

Don’t worry about me though! All my clothes and toys and things will be tucked safely away inside there with me. I’ll be having lots of fun!

But not nearly as much fun as when I get to start riding around in here!!

7 made a special bag just for me. She thinks it’s her bag, but we all know better, right? I suppose all her other junk like bandaids, and aspirin, and rain ponchos can ride with me too. I just hope all that stuff humans need doesn’t cramp my style…if you know what I mean…

7 tells me it’s the Year of Celebrations or something like that at Disney, and look what she’s already made for me to help get me in that celebration mood!

Balloons! I think I’ll see if 7 will take my picture on Main Street with my balloons. Oh, and of course, I have to get my picture with Poppy Tater at DTD, POP, and that new ride, Toy Story Mania. I can’t wait to ride that and help 7 get a really, really high score. Maybe she will get at least 147,600, and then we’ll really celebrate. It’s going to be a great trip!!

Well, ta-ta-tater for now. Time to hop in the bin…. until we meet again,
