Anyone ever stay there? We are going there and I'm just wondering what it's like. :confused3

We have stayed there once. I would love stay there again. We had two three bedrooms.

Haven't stayed personally but sent lots of clients there the last few years, and they've been quite pleased. Can't beat the location and price.

This is the website for the phase II (Grandevillas) section:

HOw do you know if you are staying in Phase 1 or 2?

When you make a reservation, exchange or rental there are two separate resorts: Cypress Pointe Resort (aka Phase 1) RCI #2750 II Codes CYO/CYN
OR Cypress Pointe Grande Villas (aka Phase 2, Cypress Pointe II) RCI #3996/8080 and II Codes CYI/CYX. Any rental/reservation should be clear as to which resort you will have your unit in. They share all common features, including the check-in desk, but the units are unique at each resort and one cannot be substituted for the other once the reservation/rental is made. Perhaps the three biggest differences are the three story buildings and no elevators at CPR along with the fully renovated and updated units (2004/5) vs the 4 or 5 story buildings, with elevators, and original style (1995) units at CPGV. Also CPGV has 1, 2 & 3 bedroom units for exchange at RCI/II (really more of a studio type setup) while CPR has only 2 or 3 bedroom for exchange but does offer a studio for rental only.

As a warning the biggest source of complaint at CPGV are from guests who are disappointed in the 1 bedroom. Orlando timeshares just aren't "meant to be" small, 500+ square foot room as is often the case in so many other areas. Orlando has an expectation of large units, full kitchens, etc. 4 people in one little room just doesn't cut it there. No problems with the 2 & 3 bedroom units other than an aging look.

WOW thanks I'll have to check the reservations, they have been locked in our safe for months....so I don't lose them. :lmao: I know that we have the 3 bedroom 3 bath and full kitchen for the 5 of us.

OK I am looking at the reservations confirmation from the email and it says Cypress Pointe Resot ID: 2750 is that phase one or two? Looking at your letter here it's phase 1 right?

We stayed there a few years back with my SIL. The place is nice, it's not 5 start but far from a dump. We usually stay at Marriott properties, but I'd say that CP is pretty close to that kind of a resort.

I'd give it a strong 3.5 stars or a weak 4.

Pools were nice, the mini golf was fun, the room (an unferbed one) was fine, the wear was evident, but the place was not trashed.

Have no idea if it's still there or not, but the one thing that does stick out about staying there was breakfast. The little convenience store at the resort had very good breakfast sammys. The dinner / breakfast restaurant that is on the left as you pull out of the resort (in a strip mall) to head towards Disney was gross.

We stayed there a couple of years ago. We loved it! We were thinkng of staying there again in June, but have decided to give Windsor Hills a try. My husband loved it because he doesn't always go to the parks with us, and he wasn't stuck in a small hotel room all day. My DD and her BFF stayed in the one bedroom unit of the condo, and they felt like they had their own hotel room. I think you will not be disappointed.

Oh awesome I am so excited! I can't wait to see them. I just hope they don't want us to sit through some sales pitch thing. My mom's cousin gave it to us as a gift and I'm really hoping they don't do that because I have everything planned out and there is NO time for that....or money. :lmao:

They called, we said no, and that was that. No high pressured sales pitch at all. Have fun!
