When you make a reservation, exchange or rental there are two separate resorts: Cypress Pointe Resort (aka Phase 1) RCI #2750 II Codes CYO/CYN
OR Cypress Pointe Grande Villas (aka Phase 2, Cypress Pointe II) RCI #3996/8080 and II Codes CYI/CYX. Any rental/reservation should be clear as to which resort you will have your unit in. They share all common features, including the check-in desk, but the units are unique at each resort and one cannot be substituted for the other once the reservation/rental is made. Perhaps the three biggest differences are the three story buildings and no elevators at CPR along with the fully renovated and updated units (2004/5) vs the 4 or 5 story buildings, with elevators, and original style (1995) units at CPGV. Also CPGV has 1, 2 & 3 bedroom units for exchange at RCI/II (really more of a studio type setup) while CPR has only 2 or 3 bedroom for exchange but does offer a studio for rental only.
As a warning the biggest source of complaint at CPGV are from guests who are disappointed in the 1 bedroom. Orlando timeshares just aren't "meant to be" small, 500+ square foot room as is often the case in so many other areas. Orlando has an expectation of large units, full kitchens, etc. 4 people in one little room just doesn't cut it there. No problems with the 2 & 3 bedroom units other than an aging look.
