Has any one stayed at this resort?

If so could you tell me pros and cons?

Leaving for Disney in 22 days!!! ::MickeyMo

We stayed there last sept. and loved it. A 3 bedroom had more than enough room for four kids and four adults.
Pros:
right on the main strip, lots of places to eat, shop.
take the back road out, turn left, turn right, pizza place and a grocery store.
Walgreens across from entrance.
5 mins. to disney gate.
activites and pools on site.
many more
Cons:
asked for baking sheet that was missing on check in(asked 3 times) never showed up.
employee golf carts are speeding through the place even at 3am.
saying no to time share pitch didnt work the first three times.

We cant wait till next trip, and hope to stay there again

The wife and I stayed at Cypress Point Grand Villas back in December, which is all part of the same development. The location is great. Close to WDW and Universal. Grocery stores, other shopping and plenty of restaurants are withing walking distance. The resort has great pools and other activities for the kids. :cool1: The resort was clean and well maintained. We would not hesitate to stay there again.

You really want me to go into that story? There's a lot of details but I'll shorten it. The beds were made, the towels were hung and the place was fine when I checked in. But when we went to bed that night there were no sheets on the made beds. I called to get some (11pm at night). Didn't get them until near midnight. So I ended up making my own bed.
So check for sheets.

Here's my original post on the incident:

Thanks for the heads up on the sheets, I will be sure to check the beds when we check in

Can anyone tell me the best way to get to WDW from here? Have you just driven your own car, taken a bus or other ideas?? :surfweb:

I've always rented a car and cut thru Downtown Disney. It's a fabulous location and I've stayed at Cypress Pointe once and Cypress Pointe Grandvillas twice. I've been pleased with both locations and liked different things about each.

I think you'll be happy with your choice.

We stayed in fall 2004 and are staying again this June.
We loved it. Had a 3 bedroon on the Grand Villas side.
There are three poools total, snack shop. The rooms are very nice.
Big 50 inch plus tv in the living room.
very clean. Would never hesitate to stay there. Close to restraunts and supermarket and downtown Disney

you can go a couple of different ways - my opinion DD is the closest.

you can get on I4 - disney is the next few exits.

You can get on 536 it will take you to WDW - Epcot.

We've stayed here Oct 04 and Dec 05 and we are staying here again in April.

Excellent location.

Pros- Jacuzzi in the master bedroom! Spacious rooms. Good location, quick ride to WDW, grounds nice. I don't know about the pools, it was much too cold to swim so we passed on that.

Cons- maybe not for everyone but I seriously cook as do my villamates and the kitchen was a bit too underequipped for our liking.

We have decided that next time we come, we will definitely bring our own non-stick skillet, a rubber spatula, salt and pepper, and a better quality knife.

My friend who "won" the sofabed said it wasn't the most comfortable, but he survived the experience just fine.

No worries, it was a great place and we'll definitely be staying there again. We had the 2 BR Grandvilla.

We stayed both in a 2 bedroom at Cypress Pointe and also the 1 bedroom studio on two separate visits. We loved the surround sound and TV in the 2 bedroom, we were watching the Lord of the Rings videos. No table or chairs really in the studio portion of Cypress Pointe. We would probably stay in the 1 bedroom at Grandvillas if just DH and I again.

Hi,
We stayed at Cypress Pointe last fall and absolutley loved it! They have just finished remodeling the units from what i understand.

We love Cypress Pointe! :cloud9:
Very spacious, well equiped units, as others have indicated, in a great location. :goodvibes

Some, however, have complained about the configuration of the toilet in the master bedroom... there is no door to close for privacy. Having said that, I will add that is tucked into an alcove behind a wall so not visible directly when you enter the room. Never been an issue for us, though I know others would not agree. ;) But beware! There is a wall of mirrors lining the vanity and hot tub which, if you don't close the patio curtains, can give quite a show to your neighbors!

Enjoy! It's a great place!

That's actually in the Phase I (regular CP villas)- the Grand Villas have a door to the toilet area, and there is a toilet and a shower behind the door.

However, the wall of mirrors is also in the Grand Villas too, so that advice definitely still applies.

We liked it a lot and will definitely stay there again- spacious, very well kept place, good amenities and a good value. I give it the thumbs up. :woohoo:

My step-dad owns there so we stayed there for the first time last June. I loved it! There were a lot of activities to do and it was centrally located IMO.
