Cypress Pointe Resort or Villas ?

I am looking into staying at Cypress Point , can anyone please give comments on which one ( if any ) might be better ? We have 4 kids so I am wondering if the "resort " might be better with the volcano pool then the Villas ? It seems to be the best price for us- hopefully I will pick the right one.

The volcano pool is nice, but so is the putt putt course at the Villas.

The 3 bedroom unit at CPGV is larger. The second bedroom has two separate twin beds instead of a single twin with a trundle underneath. Check out the floor plans at

You can't go wrong with either one. They did a great job with their redecorating IMHO.

I would get CPR 3 bedroom for less than you'll pay for 2 bedroom at CPGVs. We use to choose CPGVs over CPR before CPR was remodeled. Now you will get the HDTV, new mattresses, new carpet, etc at CPR. If there were 10 in your party, I'd say CPGV 3 bedroom, but with only 6 I'd go with the 3 br at CPR. We requested "quiet area" and got the building that overlooks the fountain as you drive in. It was also a very short walk to the gameroom and pool area. Just looked at the map, we had building 2 ------- looks further from the pool than it is.

You are able to use the pools at either property - don't let that sway your decision. It's only a short walk from one to the other across a quiet street. CP renters may also use the minigolf at CPGV.

Momof4: I've got to 2nd that comment! Here I'm looking at threads on the board, and wondering: what is the difference in booking between the resort and the grand villas, and what do I see but a thread that explains the very thing I was wondering, with a great link to a homepage showing it all! Terrific!!!!!!
