:worried: Well I have been trying to decide what to do for our fall vacation and now I want to RSVP. Just don't know where we want to stay. Here is the problem and would love to have some of you guys advise! :wizard:We stayed at at vistana village last year and now we only want to do the big suites with fridge, stove and washer and dryers. I am also a worrier so need it to be safe and clean. Would gladly stay at Vistana Village again but the price has hit the roof for our budget. I just want our vacation to be as nice as we can afford and don't wnat to get a hotel that we hate and then regret not putting the money out for what we were sure of. :grouphug:Please compare some of the other suites with Vistana Village so i can get a feel for what I should do.

thanks

We stayed at VV in Nov of 2002 and Cypress Pointe Grand Villas this past week. The size of the 2 bedroom condos are similar, except the second bedroom as CPGV has 2 twin beds instead of full. This bedroom also does not have a tv like at VV. The bathroom is located across the hall rather than having a connecting door.

The washer/dryer unit are located closer to the guest bath rather than in the kitchen like at VV.

As far as comparing the properties, we'd say the VV is a bit fancier for lack of a better word, but CPGV has some excellent qualities also. There are more pools to choose from and the pool area and condo were very clean (as was VV).There is also a 9 hole mini golf course at CPGV.

The pool areas at CPGV does not have a bar like at VV if this is important to you. There is a small convenience store located at both of the two main pool areas for basics. They also have pizza and sandwiches available.

Friends of ours stayed at CPGV the week before we did. Both familes would return again - especially at the hotelkingdom price. I'd be happy to email you a few pics from CPGV if you'd like. Just send me a pm!

Kathy

Note to ski_mom: you sent me a pm for pic of CPGV, but not your email. I tried to pm you back....let me know if you still want pics:).

Hi Kathy,

I saw CPGV on hotelkingdom. The price is very good. I can't decide among HIFS, Wyndham Parms and CPGV. Any idea?

A few question:

How's kids pool in CPGV?
Do they have free breakfast?
How far it is from WDW?
Any other commets?

Thanks!

boboever,

alothough I have never stayed at HIFS, I have stayed at both CP & Wyndham Palms. Wyndham Palms would win over CP/CPGV because of the layout. If you plan on a 2 bedroom at Wyndham Palms, the living room & dining room alone are way better than CP/CPGV. The living room in my & also in my sisters unit had a huge leather sectional sofa that could seat at least 6 or more people spread out. The tv was larger & better quality. In the 2nd bedroom, they had 2 queen sized beds as opposed to only 2 twins at CP/CPGV. I have stayed at CP twice but at Wyndham Palms only once due to price as I am a single mom with 1 dd & CP is a better value for us & our many trips to Orlando. If you are going with 4 or more people, I would definately do Wyndham Palms if price is not that big of a factor to you. + it is nice to be overlooking the golf course for a great view. CP/CPGV does not have a free breakfast, Whydham Palms does. Remember tho that HIFS is a suite sized hotel rooms, the time share suites are much much larger. The 2 bedroom unit at Wyndham Palms is over 1500 sq ft! Whydham Palms might be about 5-10 minutes further to Disney than CP/CPGV. CP/CPGV is maybe 5 minutes or so to Downtown Disney & then you can weave your way through the back way to the parks (if you go between the golf course * OKW)

We've stayed at CP for the past 10 years and love it!:D

If anyone want to see photos that we took during last years trip I'd be more than happy to send you the file.Just email me or PM me.

Please note I need to send the pics to an ISP account as there are too many pic for Hotmail etc. to handle.:sunny:

Has anyone ever stayed in a 3 bedroom at CP or CPGV? I saw some pics on line and was wondering about one of the bedrooms, does it have an extra outside door? Are they all like this? Any other info would be good. I'm looking for other places to stay if we get rid of our Westgate Condo. Could anyone compare CP/CPGV to Westgate (the vacation villas)?

TIA!:sunny:

Thanks, Melissa!

Do you have any idea about their the one bedrrom suite? How's the pool? Since I have a 3 years old, I am expecting that he'll have somewhere to rest in hotel. Is it a little bit far for taking a nap?

sent you a pm with my email. Sorry!:worried: I need to learn more about how to do things around here! :teacher:

thank you

My Mom has a timeshare at CP. The 3rd bedroom does indeed have it's own exterior entrance as well as a door to the full unit. IT's called a lockout unit so that owners can rent their unit as a 2 BR and keep the lockout for themselves. That 3rd BR has it's own whirlpool tub and seperate shower much like the master BR. IN CPGV the 3rd BR might also include a kitchenette type setup but I'm not sure.

Boboever,
Sorry I can't help with the kids pool at CPGV - my kids didn't even go near it. It is located next to the turtle pool and has a fence surrounding it. Good luck with your planning.

2minnies,

I was actually asking the pool at wyndham palms. I think I should ask it in another thread. Thank you for replying.
