Stayed there a few times, the last time was about a year ago, the 2 & 3 bedroom units are very spacious well equiped and clean, the 1 bedroom units are alot smaller and don't have any washing/drying facilities but are also clean.
Internet is not free, cost around $20 a week
The pools are nice enough with plenty of sun loungers
If you get a decent price for the 2 or 3 bedroom unit then I would go for it (nice living room area)
CPGV is a nice place and not too far from Downtown Disney.
We have stayed here twice - 2008 & 2009 in a 2 bedroomed apartment and thoroughly enjoyed our stay both times. I have just booked a week there again for July 2013. We have stayed at Lake Buena Vista Resort Village and Spa and we prefer Cypress Pointe to them ( don't figure when LBV Resort is ranked higher!) Cypress Pointe is much cheaper and has bigger square footage of room space.
Cypress Pointe is closer to Downtown Disney as well. We've paid £493 to stay 1 week in July, for the 5 of us 45,42,19,17 & 14 (so 3 adults, 2 children).
We would recommend it, but I know that it has mixed reviews.

We have stayed in a two bedroom apartment in 2006 and 2009 and enjoyed it both times. It is a good location and easy to access all the parks. This year however I failed to find a good price on these apartments and so I shopped around and now have two weeks at OKW with DDP so am very happy. If I was going again however I would be happy to stay here if the price was right.
We have stayed there in a 2 bed unit, we found it very clean and well-appointed, rooms are spacious and the resort is well laid out. The location is hard to beat for shopping, restaurants and getting to all the parks. I'd be happy to recommend it.

where did you go to book at these rates. I went to their websites and it was MUCH higher than that. I tried searching VBRO/vacationhomerentals etc. But couldn't come up with anything.
TIA!
Edit to add: Is it now renamed Grande Villas Resort?

If you are in the US the rates are possibly not available, we get discounted rates in the UK, for example I have just booked the Fairfield Inn Marriott Village LBV for 10 nights in Nov
Direct with Marriott $930.38
Expedia $935.57
UK agent (Alpharooms.com) I paid $561.60
US residents in the past have been able to book with Alpharooms, not sure if they still can or not.
