Stayed two years ago before they started to remodel. Is the place still clean and pool clean? Saw price of $80 for two bedroom ...thinking that is a lot cheaper than 154 at AKL. What do you think? How do the Grandvilla compare...what is there pool area like? Thanks

Was there in a remodeled unit (3 bdrm lockout) in January. Check my sig line for pics and a review.

We are at CP right now and we stayed at CPGV last year. The newly remodeled 2 bedroom villas are great! All public areas we have seen look great. You can use the pools on either side. Let me know if you have any questions.

2Minnies,

Just out of curiosity, how do you find the renovated rooms at CP compare to the CPGV rooms?

Thanks,

Sandra

The renovated 2 bedroom we have is in much better condition than the CPGV room we had last year...carpet is new and all upholstered furniture is also new. Appliances also appear new - the oven had a 10/04 date on the label inside. The big differences: no kitchen pantry closet and the trundle bed setup in 2nd bedroom. Our kids just pulled them apart and we placed the beds on seperate walls. Of course the master bathroom deal w/o the door, but this does not bother us. We just close the main door to the bedroom and use the extra bathroom if necessary. This is not saying that the CPGV room was bad - just in need of a bit of freshening.

Didn't you stay at CP recently? I thought I remembered reading your good reviews!! :)
I'll be checking back again in the next few days if there are any other questions.
Kathy

2Minnies,

Yes you're right we did stay at CP recently. When we walked over to the Grand Villas I really liked their pool area and was curious how the rooms actually compared. I know they have a comparison chart you can look at, but seeing you stayed at both, I was wondering what your opinion on them was. We were very happy with our room and our stay, but for future visits, I am wondering if we would want to try the Grand Villas.

Thanks for your reply & have a Great Holiday!

went to kingdom.com
cypress point disney for a 3 bedroom is 140
cypress point orlando is 90 for 3 bedroom

which is everyone talking about? the 90 looks like a good rate but will we like it. i will have 2 teenagers with me and would like things close by so they can walk.

wincha,

On Hotelkingdom.com, it looks like they list the name of Cypress Pointe Grand Villas as "Cypress Disney". They list Cypress Pointe as "Cypress Pointe Orlando". Both are part of the same resort; CP is the older but newly renovated phase, and CPGV is the newer phase.

Can someone give me some information on a one bedroom, in case DH and I are the only ones who go. Thanks!

Donna

The one bedrooom on the CP side doesn't have a kitchenette (see my pics in sig line) In the Grand Villa side, they have a kitchenette and pull out sofa.

To wincha...we were in a 3 bedroom on the newly renovated side with 9 people. Worked fine. Check my sig line for a review while we were there and pics of our room.

I've already booked a 3 bedroom at Cypress Point. I'm wondering whether the units have a DVD or VCR player in them? Not that I'm planning on sitting in the room watching a lot of movies, but it might be nice to bring some along just in case!

I can't wait to go!!!!!!!!!!

There is a DVD player in the living room and 2nd bedroom w/the trundle bed. The tv in the 2nd bedroom only plays DVDs (no regular/cable tv) if that makes sense.............

Sorry - just walked over to the living room tv and it's a DVD/VCR combo in here!!!

2 Minnies:

Thanks for checking that out for me. Good to know we can bring our own movies along!

AND -- GO PACK GO!!!! I'm from Wisconsin too! :cool1:

WOW, Cypress Pointe is really POPPIN now. Of course, I have another question...:)

We are staying in the 3 bedroom villa. Do all 3 rooms have a t.v.?? This is VERY important stuff!!!! hahah-my kids want to know. We are going July 7th-15th.

I AM SOOOOOO EXCITED

I think Sandra could answer this better - since she was in a 3 bedroom...but in the 2 bedroom the master has tv w/vcr, living room has tv w/dvd/vcr combo and 2nd bedroom has tv that plays dvds only (no tv). I'm assuming the lockout portion has a tv since it is set up as a studio.

Just4myfamily,

All the bedrooms had T.V.'s, but as 2Minnies mentioned, the second bedroom had only a small T.V. that you could only view DVD's. The lockoff suite had, I believe a 27 inch television, same as the master suite.
We all enjoyed having T.V.'s in our rooms too, it was a great way to unwind at the end of a busy day.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Cypress Pointe, I am sure you and your family will have a wonderful time.
If you have any other questions, let me know.

Hi all. We just got back from 2 months in Florida. We stayed at Cypress Pointe and Cypress Pointe Grand Villas, for two weeks (1 each) and our daughter stayed at Cypress Pointe for 1 week.
All rooms they assign are remodelled and beautiful. Cypress Pointe has smaller units than Grand Villas. You have complete use of both no matter which you are in.
The one BR is only in Grand Villas (kichenette and pull out couch) arch is open between living area and bedroom so not really private but is great for couple. The Cypress Pointe is a Studio and really only a hotel room. We will definately stay again and would book the 1 BR if only a couple.
Hope this helps.

Our 2 bedroom at the Grande Villas only had a VCR in the main room and the master bedroom. I wonder if it just depends upon the unit. We just returned from there last week.

2nd bedroom has tv that plays dvds only (no tv).
what does this mean. no tv
