I have found a great deal on hotelkingdom.com for cypress point. They have cypress point and cypress point grand villas listed as seperate resorts, but the descriptions look like they are the same place. The prices listed are slightly higher for the villas. Are these 2 seprate resorts, or just 1? And are the villas nicer somehow? I have read alot of reviews on tripadvisor, and they are VERY mixed....it seems that most people either love this place or hate it. Has anyone here stayed at CP? Any advise is welcome!!!!TIA!!!:sunny:

We stayed at Cypress Pointe in 2000. Cypress Pointe is the older section. The Grandvillas are the newer section. The nicer, quieter and cleaner pools are in the Grandvillas section. Although we didn't pay attention to that we just used those ones anyways. Both are on the same property, just one section is essentially phase 1, the other is phase 2. The location, to WDW, at least, is very convinient. Almost across the street, I believe from the DTD entrance. We were not as happy with CP as we have been with other places we have stayed. We were in the older section and found our unit (a 2 bedroom) to be very dark. Also, in the older sections, the 2 bedroom units have 2 twin beds, a queen and a sleeper sofa. Only one of the bathrooms had a useable shower, because the other had a tile floor, and no mat to keep from slipping in it when it was soapy and wet. Also the toilet and shower area in the master bath did not have an actual door, just a curtain. Other than that it was competely open to the master bedroom. However, the property, and unit, for the most part were clean. The location was great, and there were many pools, mini golf, etc. I give this place mixed reviews, and I can guarentee that we will probably never stay there again. This does not mean that it is a bad place to stay. The grandvillas are probably lighter also, since they are newer.

We spent 3 nights at Cypress Pointe Grand Villas in January. They are the newer section of the complex. We had a 2 bedroom villa that had a kitchen, 1 king size bed, 2 twins, and a sleep sofa. Got it thru Hotel Kingdom for $88 a night, and we thought it was great, especially for the price. We would probably stay there again if not staying on the Disney property, and have recommended it to others. One piece of advice, make sure you find this on a map, because it is hard to find otherwise, especially in the dark.
