Cypress Point Resort questions...

We are staying here in early May.

1. How far is it from the airport?

2. What's the best grocery store to stop at on the way?

3. I've heard great things about the restaurant called Bahama Breeze, and would like to stop for lunch on the way to our resort. It is on International Drive. Anyone know about this, and I assume it's easy to spot?

4. Anyone have a map of the general area, we've stayed on-site the last few times, and I'd like to refresh my memory before we get there

5. Any other suggestions?

Cypress Point is very close to the DTD entrance of DisneyWorld. You pass a grocery store very close to CP, I think it's a Winn-Dixie. It's on the same side of the street right before you get there.

I think your best bet is to find the website for Bahama Breeze because there is more than one of them in Orlando. I am anzious to try it on our next trip, too. As far as a map goes, the best one I have is one from AAA. My Orlando map has all the side streets, which is what you will need to find Cypress Point, it's tough especially after dark.

23 Miles. A straight shot up 528 to I-4 exit at 535.

2. What's the best grocery store to stop at on the way?

No need stop on the way although you will go by Goodings in the Crossroads Plaza just 1/2 mile from the resort. There is a Winn-Dixie next door to Cypress Pointe.

Again don't detour to International drive as you are very nearone when you head to the resort. Rather than going right toward Crossroads & the resort when you exit I-4 go left, take the first light after the I-4 intersection & Bahama Breeze is right there.

Plan to be able to walk to many things around the resort. No need to drive to everything. If you like pizza be sure to try Giordano's next door as both the deep dish and thin crust types are great there. For a bargain there is a Cici's pizza about 1/2 mile away as well.
