Cypress Poiinte vs. Cypress Pointe Villas

Are the differences between the two that HUGE? We will be in FL for two weeks, including 3 nites at POR and 5 in Cocoa Beach (DD is going to space camp!) and would like to save a few $$$ on the last 5 nights. It's just the 3 of us (me, DH and DD) so we could get a hotel room but DH can be touchy about travel, so I think the 2br at CP would be great ($63/nt at hotel kingdom). We could also get a 1br at CPGV for about the same price. How do the two resorts compare?

They're on the same property. CP is phase 1, CPGV is phase 2. The grand villas are newer, and some have said they are brighter then CP. However, no matter which you stay in you have access to ALL pools, and everything else on property. We stayed in a 2 BR at CP. Inside the unit was quite dark, and there were some things starting to show their age. However, it's a decent place. I don't honestly know the big differences, besides one being newer then the other, since we haven't stayed in both. We probably wouldn't return to CP, because we had some bad experiences there, particularly with the neighbors, but that could happen in any hotel or condo.
