THe last time I was there was in 04 after the hurricanes got done remodeling the renovation.
Depending on when you were considering last, It may have been worth the trip to get there.Prior to 2004, there wasnt much to do there, besides the water ski show. There was still the botanical gardens, and a few other things. After the jurricanes in 04, it was bought out, and there was a lot of changes made to the park. There was a water park added, some more rides, and shows and things got a face lift.Unfortunately, the owner ran out of money due to insurance and other issues, and the park was sold again to a private company from Polk County. There was some changes made to the park again, more was added, and some things were to be removed and sold,(my dad works at the Orange County Convention Center and told me about the rides he saw from the Gardens that were up for sale at a convention there) but the park was closed I think it was last year again. It went up for sale, and now yes as stated before, Merlin Entertainment (the parent company behind
Legoland, also the new owners of the Anheiser Bush Parks, and a 50% owner of Universal Studios) bought the property and plan to pump somewhere around 100 million US dollars into the park and reopen it as a Legoland Florida sometime next year. From everything Ive heard, I doubt it will be much before that, but things happen.
