cyber monday - American girl

Yep, site kept crashing BUT my purchase finally went through.
Pet carrier, rain gear, pet rain gear, Julie mini doll, skate and safety kit and the true style outfit is what I got.

Now it's night night time.

Good luck everyone.

Okay....maybe a dumb question but....

is the hair on the mini dolls the same quality as the large dolls?

I don't have an answer or opinion for your question, but your signature made me want to comment.

I am so sorry for your loss. I will pray for you and your girls when I go to bed and I really hope that your upcoming trip is beyond magical. You deserve that. We'll be there at the same time. Enjoy and be blessed.

Finally got my order finished but irritated that the PJs I had in my cart sold out before I had a chance to complete the order.

Well, I had more than $150 worth of stuff in my cart and the site kept crashing and everytime I'd start the checkout, it would remove more items from my cart because they were sold out. So the items that I really wanted are all gone now and I don't really care that much to buy the others.

I'm a little hacked off by it all now. I really wanted the doll carrying bags. And some of the items I swear were the same ones offered last year.

Can anyone tell me why there are no pants on the website for the dolls? Tons of shirts, socks and shoes, but nothing for the bottom??

Usually the doll clothes are sold as complete outfits. The tee shirts you see on the Cyber sale are store-specific (Dallas, NY, etc) and not normally available on-line. In the store, they normally sell a pair of jeans or leggings to go with the tee shirts.

Socks/Shoes are another story. I think they sell them b/c they are so easily lost.

I wanted to get my daughter the Julie mini-doll but was kinda creep out by it when we saw it at Costco. Her name is Juliette, but we call her Julie and Julie and Kanani were the ones she was asking for. I got her Kanani, since she's the one leaving. I wish I had went ahead just now and ordered the Hula dress for her birthday ... darn it! Just thought about it, and I really don't want to pay $5 more for shipping ...

Do you think if I call in the morning they would let me add it on?

I think they will. Last year, there was a problem with the website (just like this year!) and I called the next morning b/c I saw that the item was available again. I was able to add it on and they gave me prorated shipping based on my web-order.

So if your item won't push your order over the next shipping threshold, they may let you add it on w/out paying additional shipping. It doesn't hurt to call!

I told myself to be strong, but spent $75 plus shipping (no tax though). I liked the stuff this year. I got my DD the purple pjs for her and dolls, the two Inner Star outfits (one to keep and one as a gift), Kit's bedding, and fuzzy slippers. She will be happy I think! Would have gotten the hat set, but it was sold out.

Not bad for the middle of the night. I didn't want to stay up, but I always wake up as I'm quite pregnant, lol! And I have been strong... This is my first order since last Cyber Monday!

I made out pretty good. DD wanted the brown dog and I ordered that and the pet carrier when there was f/s. So today I ordered the sale dog carrier (saved 14, other version will go back), the dog tub, dog rain outfit and the matching doll rain coat. Also got the Boston tee for when she goes in Jan to get her new doll. She has enough saved to buy a 2nd one now, but waiting for the 2012 GOTY. The only thing I was bummed about was the rollerblade outfit was sold out.

Well with shipping I spent 92.00. I missed out on the doll carriers, I didn't stay up. OH well. Both of my girls will have outfits for their new dolls.

Thank you to the OP for posting this! I was able to get some things that weren't necessarily on my DD's list, but that I know she'll love. I was especially excited about some of the books and bought several of those. My DD's bday is in March so between a little at Christmas, a little at her bday and a little in her Easter basket, I think I made some good purchases. I figure if there are any books we decide not to keep, for the price they are good gifts for bday parties. :thumbsup2

Well I'm pretty happy. I got 2 pet carriers, 2 outfits, a mini felicity, a mini Julie, a pet award set, and the pet rain gear all for $80. That's only $40 per girl. I also got Sugar and Honey at Costco for $14 each. Not to bad for AG! Now I'm hoping for some spotlight savings on the school desk. I also need to get a bed from Target!

For the amount they charge in shipping, there wasn't anything I had to have. :)

I was in the Dallas store a few days ago and they had nothing that could be paired with the shirts.

They also had other individual shirts on the website as well, just not in the sale section. A lot of the pants pictured with the dolls (such as when they are wearing a jacket, etc) are no where to be found either.

Everything else that I had in my cart last night is still available for purchase, but unless other items magically reappear, I'm not going to bother.

they are OOS and now about $250 more on Ebay....I ordered some of the Kanani stuff even though I had shipping...$10. Spent $100 on regular priced kanani stuff...I did get the photo album for cyber monday sale price $4.

I didn't like anything that was available around 1:15am...after trying for 15 minutes to even see the sale items....there was very little and what was good was sold out.

checked again at 7am and there were many more...got about 9 items for $90 dollars plus the annoying $10 ship...including cute matching pjs doll and girl, rain outfit doll and dog, etc.

so $200 total today...YIKES...I already bought her the $179 kanani kit that is now sold out....

LUCKILY I spread these out between Xmas, March Bday and Easter....

still kicking myself...I thought briefly about ordering 2 of the shave ice....1 to keep and 1 to sell....I could have paid for most of this order with the sale...

TRISH

I was asking myself the other day, why didn't I buy two?!?! DD8 wants one, but I just couldn't bring myself to pay that much for a plastic accessory. If I had bought two and sold one, I would have come out ahead! Oh well, I probably would have felt guilty for sticking it to some desperate parent, anyway. :rotfl:

My friend is desperate for the shave ice.....Ebay prices are crazy! She's called all the stores directly and even asked if she could buy the display-- no luck! She is beside herself as it is the one thing her dd asked Santa for.....

I feel for her.....even though I know in the big picture it is silly---still, they are believers just for such a short time (and this is probably her dd's last year believing in Santa as she is in 3rd grade)!

I spent just over $200 with the crazy shipping. I am happy with what I got, but wish I would have allowed for it in my xmas budget. (most of my shopping was actually done) Still, it will be good for all of next years birthdays and holidays. And next year I will be prepared. Now I have go look up this shaved ice thing, what the heck!
