Okay, time to pull an all-nighter if you can, this deal will get fixed asap, but not by the end of tonight and it will possibly last until Tuesday in the system, but I'm sure the stores will pull all the flavors that work...

Buy 1 Vitamin Water at $1.25, get $3 extra bucks

I did this 7 times (one at a time because I read that's the only way that works). I still didn't reach the limit, plus I had Reinventing Beauty coupons for each too.

I only bought "power-c," but I read that Vitamin Water 10 mega-c and go-go work too. Not all flavors work.

It's a glitch in the system for the 12-packs, I suspect the limit ends up to be 12 - someone entered it in wrong.

UPDATE: It appears that it will work at some stores and not others, even in the same town. It might mean that they fixed it and not all systems have been updated yet. It's worth trying tonight if you can.

The limit is reported at 9.

I get all our prescriptions filled at Kroger (and if they have refills, I transfer to Rite Aid for the gift cards ) I've never filled one at CVS before so I'm still confused as to how I got $6.50 ECB but I won't knock it!

When you got your card, it was a "hot" card, meaning that cashiers scanned it for customers who didn't want a card, but still wanted the sale price. You got 2% back for what other people purchased.

Ryan840 (post at top of page) is the only other person here that posted about doing it. On other boards, people are reporting that it's still working on the "10" type sporadically all over the country. I tried 3 other stores yesterday and it didn't work, but I wasn't out anything as I had to cover overage from Benefiber on clearance with coupons and buying 4 Vitamin Waters (when it doesn't work) still earns a $1 extra buck. It's on single bottles that are $1.25 on sale. No one has seen the 12-packs in the stores that it's really for.

The Vitamin water deal didn't work here, but, as LanaJae said, if you buy 4 you get $1 ECB.

I was able to get the Benefiber deal, thanks LanaJae!!!

It was $6.15 minus the $2 coupon and $3 CRT, cost $1.15-earned $3 ECB.

Heads up, if you haven't done the Benefiber deal this week, I just got a Benefiber Plus Calcium (big bottle) on clearance for 75% off ($2.97), I used a $2 mfg. and a $3 CRT on it (bought other items to cover overage) and I got the $3 extra buck. I read yesterday that people were getting that type for $5.81 and earning the $3, so maybe they are 50% off still at some stores.

I got the Vitamin Water deal to work 6 times yesterday, but I tried today and it didn't work anymore. Oh well, at least I got a few!

The store I was at tonight was out of the clearance Benefiber....bummer! I will have to hunt for it tomorrow.

Tried the Vitamin Water at FH and no luck. Guess our stores are wise to the deal.

I didn't see any of that Benefiber at the FH store - is there any left at BA? FH was out of Softsoap, Blink and most of the school supply freebies yesterday. Got rainchecks for the Softsoap and Blink - hope they come in before the coupons expire.

I think that 1-800-SHOPCVS should be able to push an Extra Buck for the mascara and the hair color for you, but the manager should have also done that at the store, he knows how, he was playing stupid I think.

Yes, the procedure is to adjust the price to $7.99 and then allow you to use a coupon on it. Then after you pay, they scan your receipt and manually print the extra buck for it.

Prior to being able to manually print extra bucks, many used to adjust the price to "free" or whatever the cost was after extra bucks were taken off. The new way is better as you can still use a coupon. Go to the store that said "yes" when you redeem it as it sounds like they know what they are doing.

They might not have been playing dumb. I don't think corporate can see your receipt details for 48 hours. So they couldn't help you until then. I've had that happen any time I have called to try to fix an ECB deal. You have to wait 2 days.

I had two rainchecks for the Nutri-serum Softsoap and I needed $2.50 towatds the lysol/electrosal deal, then I printed a bunch of coupons and wanted to do it on my other card (my teachers need the lysol) So I did mine and it printed, then I did my sister's card, did 2 of the neutraair, the 2 softsoaps, and a two lysol sprays (enough to use my 4/20) So I gave them the raincheck and a line was forming. The ECBS didn't print, and I realized it as I walked out, so I said wait my ECBS didn't print. He pointed to the other cashier to take care of it. So I explained it to him and he opened up the drawer and gave me $8 in cash. I guess he didn't know how to print the ecbs from a raincheck, I even showed him the ad with the code and he said, no this is easier. So that wasa wierd

THats happened to me before too (and a manager has given me the cash). Doesn't really matter too much to me but I agree, it is weird!

Score!!! Cash doesn't expire like ECB!! (although I am more likely to spend cash on non-ECB rolling than an ECB!)

I know I won't spend cash given back this way at CVS! Since I've started CVSing about 18 mo ago, I've gotten about $45 back this way at various times usually in $5 or less increments, but once I got $10.
Anyway, the cash goes directly into my vacation fund for souvies.
I see it as free souvies! I pretty much always have at least a couple of $25GCs from 'scripts' so I am usually okay on $$ there.

I finally had a chance to call the numbe LanaJae gave us. The agent said to take the receipt back to the store because it was a store issue. This was suppose to be a free product and would not print as an ECB or as a rebate like the manager told me. She said that if I get back to the store and they tell me that is not correct, I am to insist that they call the same number and get an agent on the phone who will tell them what they should be doing. I think I will be trying this today since I have to go pick up a prescription for DD anyway.
