Cvs weekly 5/8-5/15

oooooh! Speaking of the coupon printer there are some good coupons this week coming out of the coupon printer.

$1 off any CVS Shampoo - but doesn't say brand so I was able to use it for the VO5 shampoo which is onsale this week for 77 Cents. Making this purchase a 23 cent MM. :woohoo: :cool1: :lmao:

Plus $1 off 2 CVS Brand First Aid, which with this weeks $1 sale makes some items fifty cents each. :thumbsup2

Great trip to CVS today. I got CVS Pro Health Rinse Toothpaste and Rinse, Right Guard, Cottonelle, 2 Carefree, 2 Always, 1 Bayer, the VO5, 2 Mentos for 52 cents OOP.

I was kind of disappointed though. I have a coupon for 75 cents off the Tasters choice that's on sale for $1 and another for B1G1 and my store doesn't stock it. :rotfl2:

This was a really good CVS week for me. I only had $2 ECBS and decided to go ahead and spend a few bucks to get back up. I got:

2 Right Guard (2 $1 coupons)
1 Crest (75 cents coupon)
razor ($5 coupon)
Kotex U ($1 coupon)
Stayfree ($2 coupon)
Reach floss (50 cents coupon)

I spent $17.18 and got back $20.50. Every item was a money maker although only a penny in the case of the razor.

The Stayfree and Reach seem to be monthly specials. My store doesn't have monthly books any more. Any idea how we find out what they are?

What is the Stayfree Deal? i have the 2.00 coupon and what is the Reach deal?

thanx

I just found another coupon I didn't know I had, for $3,75~ does Target ever take expired coupons?

Only if you get someone inexperienced. I was there one day and they were training a new cashier and they were going over how to do coupons. The first thing she emphasized to the trainee was to check the expiration date.

how does ecb work? is it like register rewards at walgreens? i saw that the new u by kotex products are 4.99 with 4.99 ecb, i have a $1 coupon. m&Ms are 2 for $4, i have a buy two get one free coupon. so can i buy the kotex with coupon for 3.99 get the ecb and then use that for the M&MS as a seperate transaction? or am i understanding that concept all wrong?

and what is this coupon kiosk? i am just understanding how to coupon at a foodstore and this seems more complicated.

Hi everyone! Forgive me again for being absent.

I made out pretty good today - got 2 Crest Pro-Health (minus two 75 cent coupons); the razor (minus $5 coupon); and the Kotex U things - that's where it got interesting as I was able to use a $1.50 coupon I got in real mail from CVS, the $1 coupon from CVS.com and a $1 mfg. - shocked that they all scanned.

I also got the Cottonelle for $4.99 and used a $2 CVS coupon I got in real mail along with a mfg. Got my subtotal down to 45 cents and came out ahead.

Hey, welcome back!! I've been reading your recipes on your blog and plan on using my crockpot all summer! :thumbsup2 Lucky you getting coupons in snail mail! I think CVS forgot my address. :rotfl2:

Something went wacky when I was there on Saturday. The cashier (didn't recognize her) used my ECB's to pay my tax so I wound up with a zero balance and just lost .02 off my last ECB. I didn't think that was possible but when she ran into the negative balance, Dominique came over and helped and told her how to do it. :confused3

No, you are understanding it correctly. They are quite similar to Wags RR's. They're just more fun at CVS!! :rotfl: You have a month before they expire whereas Wags is only two weeks if I remember right. (I try to avoid Wags whenever possible.... :headache:) Be sure to print the U by Kotex CVS store coupon on the CVS website because you can use it with your mfg. coupon for more savings on your initial purchase.

The coupon center is easy. Just scan your CVS card as many times as it will permit you before it says no more coupons today. They can also be combined with mfg. coupons to save more $$. Sometimes you will get lucky and get a $4 off $20 purchase or something similar. Try it, you'll like it!

The schick razor is a MM at walgreens instead of just free at cvs. It's $7.99 and giving a $5 RR. $7.99-$5 q=$2.99 + $5 back in RR.

I don't know if it was mentioned in last week's ad but there is a reach floss monthly deal. $1.99 mint floss works. The deal is buy 1 get $2 in ecb back. If you have the $1/1 coupons it's a money maker. I think .50/1 coupons are out too. I'm not sure what other flavors/types are included but I think the flosser things that are $4.99 are.

The tag says limit 1 but I bought 2 on two days and haven't hit the limit yet. According to HCW the limit is 2 though so I don't know what's up.

Here is what I did last night:
Right Guard $2.99
Right Guard $2.99
Crest Pro Health $3.50
Crest Pro Health $3.50
Kotex U $4.99
Schick $8.99
CVS Tissue .99
-$1.50 Right Guard
-$1.50 Right Guard
-.75 Crest
-$1 Kotex U CVS coupon
-$1 Kotex U
-$5 Schick
-$5 ECB
-$4.49 ECB
-$4 ECB
-$2 ECB
Subtotal 1.71
Tax 1.96
Total 3.67 which I paid with a gift card

Got $4.99 ECB for the Kotex, $7 for the Crest, $4 for the Schick and $4 for the Right Guard. I used $15.49 in ECB and got back $19.99 in ECB.

I threw in the CVS tissue because according to my calculation I was about .40 short to use all my ECB. But in the end I guess I didn't need them??? Calculation error on my part I guess. But the sad part is that I used the calculator on my phone to add it up???

The cashier (I've never seen him before) said, "Boy you know how to do it!"

I'm also from Chicago! I have been CVSing for 3 years and I use your shopping trips to help me create my scenerios. Thanks for the help! :cheer2:

HMMMMM..... What's up with that? In my flyer and in my store the Right Guard are $2.69 with $2 ECB back. Maybe that's why you're calculations are off?

WARNING -- Monitor Deal

I did the Bayer Breeze deal this morning and it only printed $5 ECB instead of $15. They manually printed me $10 ECB to make up the difference. Watch your CRTS!

This happened to me but I noticed when I got home. I will go back today and have them fix it.

THANKS!!

Here in MN they are $2.49 each with $2 ECB. Regional variations again on prices.

I just looked at the ad again and the right guard were, indeed, supposed to be $2.99 with $2 ECB back.

Maggie

There are a few versions of the ad going around. Our milk was higher and our crest was free after ecbs. Some had the cheaper milk and a $1.50 ecb on the crest. I guess the right guard had some regional differences too.

Thank you so much for this week and next! It's exciting around here, we have new people too!

You're so sweet, I am using the crock pot constantly, I cringe when I have to turn on the oven LOL

I get coupons in the mail occasionally, if you have an account at CVS.com for your extra care card, check your settings and maybe uncheck mail and then save it and then go back in and recheck it - sometimes that triggers a change in the database for mailings.

I think the negative balance thing can happen if they don't scan your card first or if they don't press subtotal. My new favorite is Cole - he offered to work for all the moms yesterday so they could have the day off, but Dominque scheduled EVERYONE, just for short shifts, just to be mean.
