on my extra rewards tab (on my online account) it shows two $5 extrabucks printed on store receipt. Then if I move over to the Current Balance tab it shows $30. ?? What does that mean exactly?

Is there a difference? Are the two $5's part of the $30? I am not a cvs'er but I would like to get started. I purchased three of the Coke deals this am.

Sorry can't answer your question but am curious because I am still debating whether CVS rewards is worth the time.

Is the $30 under your winter spending? If it is, then what that is- cvs tracks how much you spend quarterly and you earn 2% back on the total amount you spend. You receive that back as an extra buck at end of the quarter. You earn this in addition to any separate weekly ecb deals you do like the coke. If you did the coke deal twice and that is the only thing you've purchased since January started then that makes sense. You spent $30 on Coke and you have 2 $5 ECBs.

To Ericaandjenn: Doing CVS is worth it. I haven't paid for toothpaste or tootbrushes, men's razors, or men's deodorant in 3 years. The key is to buy the items that are free after Extra bucks each week, whether you need them or not, and use the ecbs you earn to pay for next weeks free items. Buy the newspaper for the coupons. Because a lot of times the free items have a coupon you can use and you'll get more ecbs back than you paid because you use a coupon.

I give away the stuff I don't need. But the key is to pay for new items that earn extra bucks with the extra bucks you all ready have.

Good luck.

this is the only purchase I have made in the past few months. So I have to $5 ecb's to use then does that deplete the $30? I am confused!!

my next question was the best way to use those ecb's this week to get me started on cvs'ing!

So you have two separate $5 ecbs to use on whatever you want. The $30 is just the total you've spent so far. when you spend more it will keep adding on to it till the quarter ends, march or april. then you will get another ecb print out for 2% of your totals.

For this coming week I'm not sure what the best thing to do is. There is usually a thread on here. I can't find next weeks, her is this week:

Then here is another website I really like:

http://www.weusecoupons.com/upload/cvs/111454-cvs-1-30-2-5-ecb-deals-ad-scan.html

And here is a thread there (weusecoupons.com) for beginner's and it may explain cvs better than me!!

good luck, hope i helped.:wizard:

This week you should buy the mouthwash that is free after ECB. You buy one bottle for $3.99 then you get a $3.99 ECB to use next week.

The ad says it is limit 1, but actually it works for a limit of 2. (Just don't buy 2 in same transaction.) So you could actually take the $3.99 ECB from the first purchase and use it to buy the second one for $3.99 - $3.99 ECB, so free. Then you get another $3.99 ECB to use next week.
