CVS extra bucks disappointing?

There was a time I was a super CVS shopper. I haven't been about 9 months, and am still well stocked in shampoo and toothpaste. But I've been thinking about re starting my cvsing again. However, every week for the past several, I look in the ad, and don't see that many great extra buck deals. Am I missing something?

The last *great* ECB deal was a few weeks back on boxes of Pampers, with $10 ECB. I used to love CVSing... but I have to agree, not so much anymore. :(

i've tried over and over to get into it, but honestly, the deals aren't all that great. occasionally, i'll find a way to get something really cheap with coupons and ECB, but not often.

I agree, I used to be really into it and lately I can't get motivated with the ads that come out.

Thankfully my DS 15 is out of diapers and he doesn't wear make-up :rotfl: so my deals are few and far between!

I really miss the great money making deals we used to have.

CVS is now going through a very major pricing change as well, I have seen total store repricing up a minimum of 10%. Happened in one week's time. Other stores are doing repricing of 1000 items per week until complete.

Ditto. I stopped diehard CVSing about a year ago. I am still WELL stocked with shampoo, toothpaste and shaving cream. I told DH that my goal is to get all of that used up before we move again in 2 years. Seems like the deals aren't nearly as plentiful for practical things as they used to be.

The deals haven't been as great as before. But there is still usually one or two things per week that are free or moneymakers. Today I got 2 free Right Guard deoderants, 2 free SOBE life waters, 2 free notebooks, free toothpaste, free dental floss. Plus I got 2 packages of those Purex 3in1 laundry detergent things for only a couple dollars for DD to bring with her to college.

Last week was really well at CVS - Dulcolax, Hydro Razor, Lysol Healthy Touch System & there were rebates for both the Dulcolax ($5) + Hydro Razor ($8.97) and you came out ahead like $2 after coupons/ECB.

This week is pretty good too, with the new Crest (24 cents after ECB/coupon, I think) + Blink tears are $7.99 and get $7.99 back but there's also a $1.50 coupon. And the typical ProGlide deal (99c after coupon/ECB), and Zegerid (free after coupon/ECB). Purex 20ct is also 99 cents after ECB/coupon.

THEN the next week (8/22) the ad has the Blink & Crest deals again, as well as Proglide, I'm not sure if they'll be consisted new deals though sometimes CVS doesn't. And the Fuze/Vitamin Water 10/$10 with $5.00 back, if you can find some coupons (Fuze 75 cent tearpad) you'd make out good.

(And for the week of 8/29, they have some Phillips earbuds for $ 6.99 with $6.99 back)
