CVS ECB deals - Sales for Week 5/6-5/12

I haven't gotten any e-mail offers either. And I rarely get any CRTs. In fact I had found a link on the families site (cvs.com/email) that said if you update your e-mail (even put in the same one) they will e-mail you a $4/20 coupon. I did that yesterday and it said "Thank you , we have e-mailed your coupon", but I still haven't gotten anything. Has anybody else tried this?

Someone mentioned doing the Walgreens rebate and purchasing gift cards, which I never really thought about. Good idea. I know CVS has gift cards too so I asked the clerk yesterday if you can use your ECB's and she said yes, on anything. I know it's not for Rx's and I have used them to buy wine/beer:goodvibes. Has anyone tried buying gc's?

I was refused to buy an Itunes card because part of my purchase was paid with ECB's. It was a $15 GC and I was paying $20+ OOP. Weird, but the clerk said it is set up to not allow GC's with ECB's. I had to pay separately.
Others here have said you can't buy GC's.
If your store let's you, then good for you :thumbsup2

I need to refill a couple of Rx's. They were originally filled at CVS, so I can't get the $25 GC for new or transferred.
I have in the past been able to use coupons from other pharmacies offering a deal for transfers by explaining that I chose not to transfer the Rx to the store with the offer. Really, I didn't need to explain. My pharmacy is really nice about redemption of these offers.

Anyone know of any Rx offers out there for transfers from a pharmacy other than CVS?

TIA

I thought that there was a recent Rite Aid offer. I remember this because at the time I was transferring prescriptions from Rite Aid to CVS to get the GC. When I saw this i thought about transferring them back, but that seemed a little underhanded so I didn't.

Like the other poster said, you can't use ECB's on gift cards. I just looked at an ECB I have and while it says exclusions apply, it doesn't list them anymore (I know they used to).

You also can't use CVS gift cards to purchase other gift cards (I tried and it wouldn't go through, if anybody has a different experience let us know).

Eckerds gift cards specifically exclude the purchase of other gift cards.

Glad the Walgreens idea was useful to you. Between using coupons and getting the extra 10% back the balance builds up over time, and it's really nice to be able to use the excess for Disney!

I tried to use ECB to purchase my DD a phone card for her pre-paid Virgin mobile phone. I had asked if it was allowed and the cashier said she didn't see why not. So she tried. But it just wouldn't allow it. She couldn't get it to go through.

I have one for Walgreens. I would be more than happy to send it to you, if you would like. It is for a $25 GC, but only for transfers.

I never get email specials. Am I alone?

Nope, you're not alone. I never get them either. I've tried changing my email address a couple of times, but still nothing. Sigh. I'm glad to hear they're out there, though! Maybe someday I'll get one. :)

Don't forget to check your spam folder. That is where mine appeared.

Today when I was at CVS there was a sign on the shelf near the St. Ives that offered 5 EBC wyb $15 of St. Ives, Tresseme, or Nexxus. Did I miss this deal somewhere? I can't find it in the flier or on the monthly deals. Has anybody else seen this. I didn't want to try it until I was sure it would work.

I did this- bought 4 St Ives facial scrubs, used $1.00 coupons off each from smartsource. Got $5 back in ECB. Added a few bottles of soda to bump it up over $20 so I could use the $4 off $20 too.

How is the Garnier deal working this week? I know last week there was the big issue with the Garnier/Maybelline weekly deal and the Garnier monthly deal clashing!!

Left over from last week, I have $6.99 towards the Garnier monthly deal. I wanted to try to go today to finish up the monthly deal. If I buy a face cleanser and a Fructis Shampoo will this count towards the monthly deal?

The monthly deal is on "skincare" items so I do not think that the Shampoo would work. You could do 2 of the cleansers though and look around your CVS, mine has the $1.00 off Garnier skincare/free sample included in abundance so if you don't have coupons maybe they do.

Thanks. I wasn't sure. The families.com board says:

$5 ECB wyb $15 Garnier Nutritionist, 100% color, or Fructis products

so I didn't know if the shampoo would work or not?? this is in the "All in one May deals" thread on that board.

well i went today cuz i wanted to do some other deals and didnt have any luck at FIVE cvs's having the bic razor in stoick so i could try to maximize that 4/20 so anyway for $7 this is what i got (in 2 transactions):
2 zephyrhills with $2ecb
1 blowdryer with $5 ecb
2 crest pro clean brush with $4ecb
4 cacao reserves
2 boxes of hersheys cookies
not too bad but i had my trip all planned out for this for about $3..lol oh well...i spent the same amount of ecbs i got back and used a bunch of coupons.

Oh and by the way the haridryer is 3 per card, it says it righ tont he dryer and my offer limit reqached is NOT printed on my receipt, so even tho the ad says one, its 3 as per the gold star sticker on the box.

sorry wanted to add separetely so OP could add to yoru deals. I just went to reread the gold star sticker on the box of the ion conair blow dryer and its actaully 3 per card for a monthly deal thru 5/1-5/31. Im sure it may not be on sale next week but it is a monthly deal and i think it may still be on sale and with your cvs card it wil mark it down to 9.99. Jsut wanted to fyi you so you can add to your monthly deals.
