I lurk on the CVS threads. So I'm finally coming out of lurkdom to say thank you to everyone that has truly mastered the CVS system and has shared it with me! I've gotten so many free things (useful and not so useful but will be donated!) and it has helped me stretch my budget further (so hopefully another Disney trip will be soon to follow!!!).

I got back $6 in ECB from the Maybelline, $4 in ECB from the Alavert, and $5 for completing the Jergens deal (I had purchased one $5.99 previously). So I spent $16 in ECB and only got back $15. But the Jergens deal was not a freebie or moneymaker deal, but I need face moisturizer. Still not bad.

I completed the Alavert and small softsoap deals. I still have 2 more sets of lipsticks I can get.

I started off yesterday with $11.97 in ECB and now I am holding $23!!

Oh, and all my stores now have scanner machines!!! I don't know when that happened. But be warned, you only get coupons once per day, no matter how many stores you try it at.

I had something bad happend at the second CVS store today. When I came out my car wouldn't start!!! While it may be a CVSers dream to be stuck at a CVS, I couldn't really take advantage of it because AAA told me to stay by the car to wait for the tow truck guy. I did sneak in though and look for the binoculars since I had forgotten earlier!! The car started with a jump and I drove to the mechanics for a new battery. Since I missed work anyway, I decided to stop by another CVS instead of heading straight home. I also stopped at the bank and library. I tried to make good use of my "day off". Luckily I didn't teach a class today. But I'm not really prepared for tomorrow! Oh well. I can wing it.

I found the big SPA at my CVS this evening. I was worried it wouldn't work because I did the deal for the little ones already and because they had the big ones signed at $4.99, get a $4.99 ECB.

But it worked!! They've got the wrong sign up or something.

DH wanted me to use my ECBs to buy him some razor blades. Guess I'm kinda stingy with my ECBs because I saw they were $14.99 for 4 ... I suggested that he look at Wal-mart tomorrow because I need my ECBs for other stuff .... like 4 more SPAs.

Thanks again for this great thread. It's really helped to stretch our dollars.

I didn't go out searching for the SPA tonight. Maybe tomorrow.

BTW, Smiller & I have got our September plans in order for the Motherland. DISmom & DISdad are driving down and we're flying, so maybe we can use the car to scout out a CVS in our spare time. wouldn't that be the best?
If the deals are too good to miss, I'll have to bring an empty suitcase for my CVS finds. Forget souveniers, I'm coming home with free toothpaste!

Just a heads up - just got a coupon in my email for online or store purchase...$4 off any beauty purchase of $20. Says skincare and cosmetics...Nice to add when you are buying the lipsticks!

Also I posted this on my question thread...got a yellow peanut m&m bank in the mail yesterday complements of CVS and M&M for buying m&m's the week of march 9th. Totally unexpected and not needed but my ds 14 months will play with it.

Ooooh cool. I found out by accident that the $3 off Dove large shampoo also works on the small ones - great deal and a money maker when they are $4.99 and BOGO.
