CVS ECB Deals - Sales for Week 4/20/08-4/26/08

I must have done about 6 cvs runs this week so far due to the Hidden Alavert deal.

The run i just did was

3.29x4 Zooth Toothbrushes
6.99 Alavert

Used a 4/20, (2) b1g1 zooth toothbrush coupons and the 4.00 alavert printable

Paid w/5ecbs - paid .95oop got back 8ecbs!

Have not seen any of the large Softsoap Spa's in my area!

I did see the colgate 360 toothbrushes out already which is May's freebie - of course i did not try if its printing ecb's yet as i'm sure its not - hope they will be left come May!

They May deals are set up in our stores too. Are they starting Saturday?

I didn't try them because I didnt' think they were working yet. Still no BIG Spa here either.

If I buy 2 CVS brand skincare products (8.49 and 14.79, total of 23.28, the line comparable to Olay), can I use both my $2 off a $10 or more CVS brand coupon and the $4 off a $20 purchase coupon? If I can then woo hoo because I will also get $5 ECBs!

Usually yes.

but what would happen to all my ecb's i have?

Apparently when the cards are merged, they still work. I am tempted to spend up everything I have and get a new card altogether and just save my old one until the end of the quarter and use it on a pack of gum to get my quarterly and then blow that ECB on something. I am not getting coupons on my receipts and I'm not getting CVS emails any more and it's obviously something to do with the length of time I've had it or how often I use it.

Had to go to CVS today to get my Rx filled. I have strep throat! Lucky me! I only wish I'd had a gift card coupon to use.

Found 3 of the big size softsoap body wash and got those. Got a speedstick and 3 free Adidas deos (had coupons for those). Also picked up some Bogo Hershey's Kisses and had coupons. Got about $55 worth of stuff for $1 OOP. The girl behind the pharmacy counter was so excited for me!

On another note, my aunt/uncle came into town without telling anyone. Things are VERY tight money wise for them. And since they drove their van in (from Arizona to Maryland!), I loaded them up with 5 copy paper size boxes of stuff!!! They were so excited. And my uncle is diabetic and uses the glucose monitors and was super excited to see that I had 6 for him!

Sorry you are sick :grouphug: Hope you feel better soon.

That's great about being able to help your aunt and uncle out. :) That's very cool! I have been giving my mom my surplus from my CVS hauls ;) Thanks CVS!

The Alavert and Softsoap make for nice opportunities to roll ECBs. I'm down to $14ECBs on my card and $16ECBs on DH's card, and plan to roll them to dates after we come back from WDW.

Here's today's trip on my card (I'll use DH's card later in the week):

1 Alavert Citrus 12 ct, on sale $6.99 (regular price = $11.99)
2 Softsoap 18 0z, $5.49
1 Mennen Speedstick 24/7, $3.99
1 Charms Blow pop (filler), clearance price $0.25 (regular price = $0.33)
Less $4/$20 CVS coupon
Less $4 Alavert coupon
Less $14ECB that I wanted to roll (and actually wound up also increasing)
oop = $0.21
Received back $10.98 (softsoaps)+$4(alavert)+$3.99(deod.) ECBs -- all of which have an expiration date of 5/22, which is 5 days after we get home .

2nd trip I'll do later in week with DH's card will be the same, except I'll use up his $16ECBs rather than my $14ECBs, so will be on the hunt for a good $2ish filler.

Both of my CVS stores are out of the Softsoap ( both sizes ) :headache: They have been all month! I found two of the smaller sized ones and that has been it all month. :sad2:

Check EVERYWHERE for the larger bottles. I have 2 CVS's in town and both were out of the smaller bottles from almost day 1. Went into just 1 of them today and noticed 3 small bottles, 2 purples and 1 aqua, on the shelves and scooped them up. Was down at the other end of the store and was surprised to see a huge display on an endcap with lots of the bigger bottles. No ECBs sign on the endcap, guess that's why they didn't yet run out of stock. Wound up not getting the smaller bottles, just a couple of the bigger bottles as I was low on ECBs and didn't want to spend much oop.

If you don't mind me asking... where did you get the Mennon printable coupon?

Well I went to 3 CVS stores today and didn't find a single 18 oz. Softsoap SPA. I didn't even see a spot for it on the shelf. I asked the employees at my regular store (they had tons of the 12 oz.) and they said they had never seen the bigger size, so I'm thinking maybe it's just not available where I live. In other news, I found some BeFine packets clearanced to $0.60 at one store today. I wish I could have found those several weeks ago!

Also, the Alavert at my store was a bonus pack with 50% free. So, I got 5 18-count packages and made money on them too! I turned $5 ECB and $2 OOP into $20 ECB after using coupons :thumbsup2

I was just coming here to ask if anyone got ECB from the bonus packs of Alavert. I saw them yesterday but stuck with the regular pack. I didn't want to chance it since this is a "hidden" deal, I figured I would have no way to convince them the Alavert was to produce ECB.

Maggie

I got a bonus pack (18 for the price of 12 - 6.99) on Monday and used a $4 coupon. It gave me $4 ECB when I checked out.

I also did not buy the "bonus" packs - figured my luck it won't print the ECB's and how much do i really need? I got 10 packs and i think about a month ago or so they also had a deal on the Alavert so i must have more than 10 boxes. Now when i buy medicine products, i check the expiration date - i made sure to buy the Alaverts that expire in 2010.

So sorry you are sick, Kimya.

Glad your Uncle could use the monitors!

DH is on this high protein diet so we went to CVS last nite to get him some protein bars. Of course none of the ones that are on sale or generate ECBs were the ones he wanted - he had to get the ones that are $2.49 EACH! My total last nite was $98 but I got it down to an OOP of $10 after coupons (Alavert, Adidas Deodorant, Mennen) and ECBs and we got things we did need (paper plates, Cascade, paper towels) too.
