CVS ECB Deals - Sales for Week 11/16-11/22

OMG guys! I just got a 10/50 too!!! Haven't seen a x/xx coupon assigned to me for at least 5 months, I'm going to have no trouble using that next week for Black Friday! :cool1: :cool1:

Check the dates. I got one on each card and they expired 11/26 (Wednesday). My store won't take expired CRTs even if they are only 1 day expired.

Just wanted to post that I am back from getting batteries on my DH's card!!!! I ended up going to 3 CVS', but I was out running errands and passed them anyway. The third CVS had the 16 pack AA's with the $2.50 coupons attached to them (like I bought the other day with my card). I got 96 AA batteries and a giant hershey bar for 70cents oop!!!:cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: The cashier couldnt believe it. Each order rang up less than 25cents. She said "you are basically getting these for free"!! I said, yep- I love CVS!!
Another cashier said "are you going to use all those batteries?"
Yep again- my DS has wireless controllers for his Xbox 360 and he goes through them like candy! Not that it is any of her business if I use them or not, but YES!!

Now I have to return and use my card before the ad runs out to get my 3rd set on my card

There is another deal I don't think has been mentioned here. The Balde shower gels, deodrant and shave gels are on sale for $1 off this week making the shave gels ring up at $2.29. There is also a monthly deal to get $1 ECB on each;

In the CVS beauty booklet there are $2 Q for any Blade product. Makes the shave gel .29 and get back $1 ECB.

On my trip today I bought 1 shave gel and enought stuff to finish my Glade deals. Tlhen I told cashier I want to ring these 4 shave gels (ECB is limit of 5) up seperately so I can use the coupons on each one. He was nice and rang them all together and pushed the coupons through. My OOP was $1.59 (which included tax) and got back $4 ECB.

I did not check the price of deodrant or shower gel. DH and DS were needng the shave gel more.

Check your emails! Just got a $4/$20 Beauty purchase that is good until 12/4. I'll have no problems using that next weekend for the Thanksgiving sales! :thumbsup2

Just checked my email and I got the same coupon. What kinds of things can this be used on?

So then which coupons work with the above 'candle holders' vs. the 'warmers' below?

Sorry to be so dense and confused, I'm not usually like this. But as I said, my CVS has not been friendly lately to any of us and the candle stuff is all mish-mashed together - and with NO Prices listed. Not kidding, at all.

TIA very much.

No problem, it's confusing even with the signs!

Buy one Glade® PlugIns® Scented Oil Holder, get one FREE (that's the "warmer" that plugs in the wall) (prices $2.99, $6.99 and $7.99, but I think coupon has a max value of $5.99 - can't remember)

Buy one Glade® PlugIns® Scented Oil refill, get one FREE (this is the refill for the warmer/holder that plugs in the wall) (prices $2.99 and $3.99)

prints this:

Buy one scented oil CANDLE, get one FREE (prices $5.49 for Dewberry and $6.39 for Clean Linen - they might have holiday scents too, but we didn't have them)

Then, there is a coupon in the 11-2-08 Smart Source for Glade PlugIns Scented Oil Holder/Warmer (plugs in the wall) FREE when you buy PlugIns Scented Oil Refill. If you have this coupon, it's a money-maker. This same coupon was also in October Good Housekeeping and November All You magazines. Using this coupon is the only way to make money on this deal, but with the printable coupons, you would only be spending a few dollars for $30+ in Glade products (when you count ECBs earned).

I found a 20.3 oz. Vaseline Intensive Care FIRMING lotion that was 50% off (rang up $3.50). Vaseline lotion is giving $2 ECB this week. There are $1.50 and $1.25 manufacturer's coupons out there. I had 2 coupons,so picked up 2 bottles of lotion. I got one free after ECB and one for .25 after ECB. The bottles are cornflower blue. Mine were in the regular aisle and not marked clearance.

My store had a big sign by the batteries that said "ask for coupon". They would only give out one coupon since it said one per customer. So I bought 2 packs last night and then went back this morning on my way to work and got another 2 packs. My $15 ECB printed out!!! Yay! I was going to use it on the L'oreal moisturizer. The store had 2 left at 10 pm last night but they were both gone when I stopped in this morning. I think the 2 clerks took them because last night I heard the one say to the other, "We only have 2 of these L'oreal left". I should have got one last night, but I only had $9 in ECB and a $2 off Loreal CRT and I didn't want to pay the rest OOP. I knew I could get them this morning with overage. :headache: OH well, I'll check at another CVS.

I also did one of the glade deals. I got 2 of the scented oil candles (dewberry) for $5.49 with $5 ECB back. I think these make nicer gifts than the little plug ins. I usually give them to my mom to give out to her office mates. I might go back and do the deal again and get some refills. I think a candle and a refill would make a decent coworker gift. I had a couple from a Walgreens deal awhile ago. But when the electricity went off in my house a couple months ago, someone used these to light up the house. Why they didn't use all the candles in candlesticks around, I have no idea since I was at work!! And I can't use these or I will have trouble breathing. Although, I may put them on the Thanksgiving table to get some use out of them since they are already opened and partly used. One of my guests plans to send me a floral arrangement which will set off my allergies anyway, so I may as well throw in some scented candles to seal the deal!!

I got a $10 off $50 too. I was planning on using it for Thanksgiving day sale, but I will have to check the expiration date.

checked my email, my coupon is for 20% off online. no thanks!:sad2:

Same here - meanies!!

I'm getting even though, my store takes expired mfgs. so I'm going to use the "buy a CoverGirl foundation and get a complimentary face product free."

I couldn't find any Maybelline coupons at all, they must've been regional so I probably won't do that deal. Not going to get the 5-hr. energy drinks either cause I had to beg people to take it.

Just double-checked my 10/50 CRT and it expires 11/27 (Thursday). Perfect!

Also, I understand that the Black Friday sales start on Thanksgiving day. Did anyone have luck last year going on Wednesday evening to get the ECB deals? (My store usually starts switches over on Saturday afternoons) The only reason I ask is b/c I'll be out of town all day on Thursday and I doubt there will be much left by the time I get there on Friday. I might have an opportunity to go on Thursday but I would really, really prefer Wednesday!!! Did anyone do this last year?
(I asked this on HCW but I don't think many of them understood my question  )

I think it depends on how it is worded in the ad. If it says "Valid Thurs., Fri., and Sat. only", then it probably won't work on Wed. night. If it doesn't specify the days, it may work Wed. night. It is sort of like the "Sun and Mon only" specials. Even if your store rolls out the new ad on Sat. night, those Sun and Mon only specials won't work until Sun.

I personally went last year on Thanksgiving morning when they opened. I was standing at the door when she unlocked it and I was the only person in there for most of the time. Except the random husband who ran in for a gallon of milk or loaf of bread!!

Although the Thanksgiving sale is awesome, the one this coming Sunday has a maybelline foundation and a contact lens cleaner free after ecb. There are $3 maybelline coupons in either 9/21 RP or 10/26 RP and $1 coupons for the Complete contact solution in 10/26 RP. The really exciting thing, though, (cause I don't wear maybelline or contacts) is that Viva paper towel 8-pack is $7.49 with 1 ecb back, so with the overage of the other two, that's $2.50 for Viva! Some areas might also have Viva coupons in the 10/12 SS, but mine didn't. Paper towels are almost as exciting as toilet paper:lmao:

Thanks LanaJae, I'll try it again, but this time in one of my nicer stores. Its amazing the difference between clerks!!!! :confused3

Also, DH got the email for a 4/20 IN STORE coupon, yippie!

I got the one for on line only :(

But in the last couple weeks I got 3 of those 4/20s IN the store! :confused3 Not complaining but surprised!!
:thumbsup2

checked my email, my coupon is for 20% off online. no thanks!:sad2:

me too!

I also tried to finish the battery deal on my card today and somehow came up .06 cents short to get my ECB! ugh I was in a hurry and something must have rang up a few cents shorter then what I planned.

Talked to the store manager where I live and he was CLUELESS!!!! Didn't think there was even a bf ad this year. Thought they were just having the usual Sunday circular. Enough to drive you crazy!!

ok i went to CVS and scanned my card and got a 10 off 50 which i could use Thanksgiving!

I can't believe how much free stuff there will be BUT you can only get 40ecb's per transaction right? so if my total comes to $50.00 i can only get upto 40ecb's?

I have a tendency to associate people with their avatars- so you're young and beautiful just like Cinderella ;) and I look just like Belle :rolleyes1 .
So, to you I am furry and green? Not good. I think I need to change my avatar.:lmao:

When I first started working 2 cards it was very confusing to me too. I have found a way to keep ECBs seperated that works well for me.

AT Dollar Tree I found eye glass cases that are soft sided with a zipper. I bought blue for DHs card and pink for mine. I store the card, ECBs and latest register receipt for each of us in our case. Very easy to keep up with.

CRTs are kept in my coupon book since they look so much like ECBs. I have a seperate pocket for myself and DH to keep CRTs in.
I'm gonna run up to Dollar Tree later and look for these. Thanks!

Oh! I agree about the paper towels. Especially Viva...my favorite.
