Cvs deals 4/19-4/25

I did the 6 Tresemme, 2 Crest, Dove Skin vitalizer, and shave gel today on both cards. Neither store had the Bayer....I don't think they ever got it in even because I walked all over and didn't even see a spot for it. It was a good day :thumbsup2

Question about the Tresseme deal. At my store if the coupon says 1 per purchase I have to do it in seperate transactions. I know I can still accumilate the ECB's but will the they ring up at the 3/$10 price doing them seperate? If they do I do realize they would all be $3.34 instead of 4 of them being $$3.33

Did I confuse evryone? LOL

It just stinks I cant use the $4 of $20

"per purchase" refers to each item purchased. If you purchase 6 items, then you can use 6 coupons. If it said per transaction, then you could only use one per visit.

OH how I aspire to be as good at this as the many people here are. I just got my CVS card today. Got some tresseme, and some other stuff. But after reading this board, I will have to go back and still try to get good at it! Free stuff is fantastic! Always good for the budget!!!!! Where did the $4 off beauty coupon come from? Thanks for all the great tips!

Thats what I thought it should be. I already checked with the manager of the store and she said I cant do it. I called the manager to make sure because I went saturday and had 2 coupons that said this and they made me split them up.

This is my previous post.

So does anyone know if they will ring up the right price splitting them up?

They SHOULD ring up correctly.... My reciept shows 3 towards reward or whatever the wording is

I got two of the skin vitalizers today then after a LONG day at my MILS I ran to pick up the baby and we swung by the scanner store... I got a 10/50 and my sister got a 5/30..... I need to figure out how to maxamize these... So I didn't get the rest of my dove skin vitalizer.

I have to say I love that thing It looks great for the money!

There is a SObe coupon, I found it on hotcoupon world.... then the cvs forum then the subform help with a deal or something... it's the first listed.... there was a link there..

ETA nevermind.... I found it for you here you go http://bricks.coupons.com/Start.asp?tqnm=qdcnfeh65041990&bt=vi&o=56053&c=SL&p=dP7JSciC

Don't know if this has been mentioned already but I think the Aveeno is limit more than 1. My receipt does not show limit reached yet.

I was wondering about this because I saw someone else purchased more of these and got the ECB back. Hopefully I'll get to CVS again this week.

*sigh* I wish I had more CVS around here!

on last question, we don't have the 24 body tresemme in our store here, have people been using the $1 coupon on the regular shampoo/conditioner?

It beeped for the non-24 hour.... Mine had 3 shampoos but only 1 conditioner, so I picked up two other conditoners..... It beeped and had to be overridden..... They did have tons of the 24 hour hairspray and styling products... The one I go to on Sat nights is in a lower income level area but I honestly think the people are nicer.... They seem to have more of the deals than the one in the more affluent area.... I do run by it to scan my card. I stopped shopping at the one I consider mine because one girl was really nice, but the other hates coupons and she's rubbing off on the other.... So now I'm at across the river in GA lol

What a score today! I bought over $100 of stuff (and I'm not even including what it would be without the sales price), and by using coupons and previous ECB's, I only spent $3 OOP, and $12 on my FSA card, and still walked away with $15 ECB from today. :cool1: I had to ring up 3 different transactions (thank goodness for super wonderful people at my CVS who have even pointed out sales I forget about...CVS employees are couponers too ;) ) because I had two CVS coupons for Spend $25, get $5 off, and those specifically say you can only use one of them at a time.

Now the best deal was that I already had that "Spend $20 on beauty, get $4 off" but when I went to the store and scanned my card at the coupon machine, it also printed, "Spend $15 on Facial Products, get $5 off". And neither said you could only use only one per transaction. SO, here's what I did:

$30 for (2) Aveeno Moisturizer, $15 ea
-$2 Aveeno Coupon
-$2 Aveeno Coupon
-$4 CVS coupon
-$5 CVS coupon
-----------------------------
$17 for two
-$10 Aveeno ECB
-----------------------------
Real Value - $7 for two

Of course, I used ECB's from last week, so spent nothing OOP.

Now it would have been a better deal if I'd only gotten enough Aveeno product closer to just the required $25, but Aveeno Facial Moisturizer is the only kind I'll use, whether it's on sale or not -- making this the best value of all.

You know, if it hadn't been for this budget board I never would have known about CVS'ing. This place rocks :thumbsup2

BTW: Did anyone else have probs with MQ coupons today? My clipped Thermacare AND my printed tresemme coupons all beeped on me today. Cashiers just pushed them, esp. since the thermacare was clearly valid, but wondered if anyone else had issues?

Can i use both a 5/30 crt that i received and the 4/20 cosmetic/beauty 1 that expires today?
YMMV, but Yup, I did!

I ran by the scanner store to grab another $1 off facial tissues... It's been explained that it's better to buy 6 and use 3 $1 coupons.... Then you end up paying $2.16 (They are $1.29 each)

So on my sister's card I did 6 tissues, 2 of the tampax pearl ($5) each the edge shave gel and I threw in an EOB body pouf ($2.99 I needed it and it had a $3 coupon) I figured I needed it to get the $20 to use the $4 off...... I used 2 $1.50 off the tampax, 3 $1 off facial tissues and the $4 off 20.... I used a few ECBs to get my total down to $0.22.:yay: Then I got a $3 ECB for the tampax and the $2.89 for the edge.

On my card I did the tresseme deal and I did find the 24 hour shampoo and conditioner.... I got three of each and I got the edge. Used the $4 off 20 and 6 of the $1 tresseme coupons... I think my total was $12.xx so I used some ECBs to get my total down to $3.91 and got a $10 and the $2.89

ETA my tresseme coupons wouldn't scan, but they took when typed in.
I didn't get the bayer yet, wanted to wait on the coupon and I figured I might get another x/xx.

I think I did pretty good. I would have gotten 6 more boxes of facial tissue, but that was all they had on the shelf and one of my $1 CRTs is expired (on Friday) and this is the only store that takes expired.... So, oh well
ooohh... you're lucky! Here if you tried to use more than 1 of the same crt (even in you have enough to cover the crt requirements) the crt's beep and they won't push them thru as they do state a limit of one per transaction on them. Or at least that's been my experience.

Here is a link to three coupons for
$2 off one
$5 off two and
$10 off three Aveeno Positively Ageless products

https://www.aveeno.com/ageless-coupon.jsp

I will be buying some sun screen!
I cannot get this to work! :headache: Anyone else having problems w/ this website. It keeps coming up website not found. :confused3 I really really need these coupons. ;)

Question: If I use one $4/20 coupon for the Aveeno deal at one CVS, can I use another $4/20 coupon for the Tresemme deal at another CVS? It says one per customer. Does this mean my card will indicate that I have already used the coupon or can I use it for more than one purchase?
I used it multiple times. most of the time it did not beep but it did twice I think. the cashier just manually entered it.

-----------------------------
$17 for two
-$10 Aveeno ECB
-----------------------------
Real Value - $7 for two

Of course, I used ECB's from last week, so spent nothing OOP.

Now this would be a pretty decent deal, but what makes it great is that Aveeno is the only moisturizer I use, and I'll buy it whether it's on sale or not -- making this the best value of all.

You know, if it hadn't been for this budget board I never would have known about CVS'ing. This place rocks :thumbsup2

Wow, Lucky! I'm jealous! ;) I have a similar situation and they wouldn't push it thru when it beeped. They said can't use 2 of those at the same time. :confused3 Oh well. I did like 5 or 6 different transactions today at a couple of stores and got great deals so I can't complain because I did get a $10/50 and I got a $5/30 and had an about to expire $5/25 and I was able to use the $4 beauty one multiple times. I now have like 24 bottles of Tresemme shampoo, conditioner, and styling products. And just to clarify, I did NOT clear the shelves or even come close. I did my transactions at more than one store. Besides, we bought more of the various styling products for DD13 to try on her hair that's as thick as a Lion's mane! Just wanted to add that, because I know more than likely someone will want to comment about how we CVSers are so inconsiderate and clear the shelves of the sale products. Not here, not this time. Now I can't speak for future deals though :lmao: The best deal was at one CVS the Total mouthwash that was supposed to be $4.99 get 2ECBs back was labeled $3.79 and I had a 2 manu coupon + 2ecb was money maker by about 21 cents. I was able to snag 2. YAY!!

Never fear!! I found 2 $1 coupons for Crest in my P&G coupon booklet from that mail in deal! So it was a little money maker even!! Phew!! I could have had my CVS card revoked if I had actually paid for the toothpaste!

(I also got the 2 free Colgate sensitive stuff from this past week. Those were .75 each moneymakers too!)

Maggie
Thank goodness! Glad you got it free! ;)

Is there a SOBE coupon somewhere? I saw mention of it but can't find a link in this thread.

Also when I ran into CVS yesterday I accidentally uncovered a deal that I can't find in last week, this week or the monthly flyer. Buy 2 Softsoap body wash and get $4 ECB. I redeemed a Softsoap SPA raincheck (get 5 free after ECB) and noticed that an $8 ECB printed on my receipt for them. I went back and bought another type - Softsoap pomegranete and mango - and sure enough another $4 ECB printed.

ooooh. This is very fun. Good for you!:yay:

I worked in the VIP area as a CM years ago so it was always a dream of mine to have my reception there.

WHAT???!!!???!! Clarabelle, you're the coolest! ex-employee... wow!:upsidedow

Question: If I use one $4/20 coupon for the Aveeno deal at one CVS, can I use another $4/20 coupon for the Tresemme deal at another CVS? It says one per customer. Does this mean my card will indicate that I have already used the coupon or can I use it for more than one purchase?

Again, depends on your cashier. I've had cashiers that know me let me use one after another on each transaction. Otherwise, I drive from store to store to use them. Just print a bunch of them and use them as often as possible. :teacher:

Wow, Lucky! I'm jealous! ;) I have a similar situation and they wouldn't push it thru when it beeped. They said can't use 2 of those at the same time. :confused3 Oh well.

You know, the more I sit here and think about it, it may have beeped. But as stated, on a previous transactions I had so many clearly valid coupons beep, that she was just pushing stuff through. But I was so careful to make sure neither said you couldn't use other coupons with them like the "$5/$25" does, so I don't know why they beep to start with? But I'm still pretty new at this :)

I admit I am lucky to have not just great people at my local CVS, but also my Walgreens. The Walgreens cashier I always use is a couponing queen, loves to brag on her latest scores (even whispering to me last week that she got her best deals that week at CVS :rotfl:)

Thats what I thought it should be. I already checked with the manager of the store and she said I cant do it. I called the manager to make sure because I went saturday and had 2 coupons that said this and they made me split them up.

It just stinks I cant use the $4 of $20

So does anyone know if they will ring up the right price splitting them up?

UPDATE
I called another CVS in my area and they said I could use all the coupons in 1 transaction. So I got

6 Tresseme
2 Crest prohealth
6 reusable CVS bags(more on these later)
4 Russell Stover eggs(75% Off. I love them)

Used coupons
6 $1 Tresseme
2 $1 crest
6 $.50 for the bags
$4 off $20 beauty coupon
I also used ECB'S from my last visit.

I payed $7.81 and I got $14 in ECB'S.

The cashier asked if I would like to buy a reusable bag for $.49. The bags have coupons for $.50 off attached to them. I have been looking for a deal like this since I was to cheap to pay $.99 for them. LOL

Well, I wasn't trying to accuse you of doing anything wrong... I tried to use 2 of the $1 off any 2 GE candies (that we were getting from the scanners awhile ago) in the same transaction and the cashier VERY CLEARLY pointed out to me that I could not do this as it was stated on the crt. :rolleyes1 So sorry, Ms. Cashier, I did not read the fine print on the crt before attempting to redeem it.
I was only making a statement that you were lucky, no accusations being made here. :rolleyes1

I have a funny Sat night WAGS story. My WAGS (right now) is kinda out of my way. but w/ that chapstick RR and the scunci ponytail RR, it was worth it for me to go to Wags a couple of times this week. Well, late as in 5 min prior to the store closing I realize I wanted to get more of the scunci's and they were a weekly. So I get in the store and already have one 2 RR, so I buy scunci's w/ it, then buy the chapstick, then buy the scunci, then the chapstick, then a scunci. the asst mgr was right there beside the young man cashiering. They both just looked at each other and kept rolling their eyes. But neither said I couldn't do it, so I did. In the end I spent 60 cents (12 cts tax on ea transaction) and walked out w/ 2 chapsticks and 3 pks of ponies and still have a 2 RR for the future. Not too bad....

I have a question about the Tresemme. I went yesterday and was going to buy 6 and then decided with the $1 off that $2.33 wasn't a bad price and decided to buy one more. When I checked out, I of course got $10 ECB. This is where I am confused. At the bottom of my receipt, it doesn't say ECB limit reached. It says I need 2 more. I thought it was limit 2 ECBs? I am somewhat new at CVSing and I hope I am explaining this properly. Anyone know if the limit is actually wrong in the flier.

Good deals at Rite Aid yesterday as well:

-Pull Ups $8.99-$3 SCR-$3 q = $2.99

-Bengay patches $6.99-$6 SCR- $1 q = FREE

-Compound W $9.99 - $10 SCR = FREE

-Colgate $2.49-$1.50 SCR-$1 q = FREE

-Dove Hair care 2/$6- $2 SCR- $3 q (2 $1.50)= $1

-Nova Max Meter $9.99- $9.99 SCR= FREE

-Contour or Breeze Meter $29.99-$30 q = FREE

The $5/$25 coupon is good until 4/30 so this is a great week to use it! Makes everything free or moneymaker!

HUH?!?! I'm sorry if you thought I was sounding defensive, I wasn't remotely!! I didn't even think once that you were dinging me. I just started thinking about it and thought, "you know, she may have something there, I think mine beeped too!" And I thought I'd post that so others would know it could happen to them. I wasn't even the tiniest bit put off by your post. Sorry if my post came off that way :wave2:
