Cvs 8/22-8/28 weekly deals

CVS had picture frames and photo albums marked 80 % off yesterday. Since I am well stocked I left them for other thrifty shoppers.:lmao:

A little OT but its regarding a CVS purchase and would like your opinion.

So I missed the postmark date for the Schick razor rebate (Aug 18) and I'm so mad at myself! :(

However, they have to be received by September 2, so do you think they'd overlook the postmark date if it arrived by then?

Any experience with situations like this?

No experience with a situation like this, but if it were me I'd mail it anyway. If it doesn't work, you've only lost the cost of the stamp.

I hope you get your rebate. :goodvibes

Off Topic, but has anyone else had a problem keeping their washcloths and towels clean since switching to bodywash? :confused3

Mine have a buildup on them. I've tried using vinegar in the rinse water of the washer and also using less laundry detergent, but they're still not clean.

I'm a little worried that all this free bodywash is going to end up costing me money :rolleyes1. My two options now are buy new washcoths or launder them many times to get them clean. I'd rather not use a loofah, but I may just have to give in.

Does anyone know of anything else I can try?

I've never had this problem myself, but maybe not use as much body wash on your wash cloths? It doesn't take much to lather up with. Of course, your water may be harder than mine. :)

I have to ask if you are using the Olay Body Wash? I noticed that I had an oil slick in my bathtub when I was using this. When I switched to other brands like Nivea, Suave & Old Spice I didn't have this problem any more.

But even with the Olay I didn't have trouble with my towels. I do use the plastic poufs in the shower and wash all my clothes with Tide.

Yes!
I think it is the Olay. We've been using body wash for a while and I never had this problem, until recently...... when I started using the Olay total effects! Thanks for the solution. I'll just use the other body wash in my stockpile :dance3:. (Kinda embarrassed I didn't figure it out on my own )

Way OT but y'all are so smart so hope you know ;)

So I'm a new Facebook member.

As y'all know, when you send a message to someone, you can click on *sent* and see what you wrote.

So when you send a friend request, there's a place to write a little message, too. After its sent, is there also a place you can go to see what you wrote there?

No clue on the facebook thing sorry.

But back to CVS....

Does anyone know how much they are charging for the white-out? Oldest DS needs some for school and I'm trying to decide if they'd be cheaper or Office Max with the 20% off coupon I have.

If the towels still have a buildup, wash them on hot with a squirt of dawn. Use vinegar in the rinse cycle. That should get rid of all of it and then you can go back to washing them as usual. If you have a front loader, don't use too much dawn.

My co-worker gets the CVS flyer on Thursdays and gives it to me after looking at it. When I saw the LexMark printer for $39.99 I knew this was going to be my new printer. I also had a CVS $5.00 off $25.00 purchase that was expiring on Sunday. After running to 3 CVS stores, the last one finally had several, but they were marked for $29.99. It rang up at the $39.99 but the cashier voided the sale and corrected it to $29.99 which minus the $5.00 coupon brought the cost to $24.99! The cashier seemed to be aware what they were priced which worked to my benefit. The people behind me in line were all murmuring about what a good buy I had. I couldn't agree more. :thumbsup2

Did anyone get the e mail with the 20% off savings good until sunday.

I am trying to plan a good shopping trip. It says NO sale items.

I think I am going to do the Head and Shoulders buy 1 get 1 free

I also have a crt for $10 off 2 coppertone continous spray suntan. Ds is a lifeguard and likes a different coppertone but this might be well worth it.

Also the schick quatro $6 off suntan lotion

Have to see what other coupons I have.
I am also probably going to be stocking up on bandages in prep for my maybe surgery next month. I guess if it doesnt happen I could return them.

What s everyone else buying with their cpn?

:rotfl::thumbsup2 It's sadly my only claim to fame. I know my way around the laundry room.

Thanks, I'll try that. :thumbsup2

Dawn can fix anything. It's great for getting stains out and grease buildup. I use it for everything. My kid got chocolate milk on her white capris. Tide stain release and all detergent didn't get it out the first time but dawn did the second time!

Back to cvs :rolleyes1

I got a 20% off entire order, excluding sale items in my email. Not sure how I am going to use that.

On the laundry subject we have one of the new front loading washers. In my opinion they do not get clothes very clean. At least not like my Maytag I had for years. I don't think there is enough water to clean or rinse the clothes properly.

We also have a problem with laundry not smelling clean. We have to "clean" the washer about ever 2- 3 weeks.

I filled up an old Shout Scrubby topped bottle with Dawn to pre-treat my son's greasy jeans and it worked great! And thanks to these CVS threads I had a pretty big stockpile of Dawn at the time.
