Cvs 11/08-11/16

Do you think you have to buy the mega pack of batteries that are on sale for $10 for the UP deal, or could you buy the smaller packs? The ad says "any" Duracell??? I have several Duracell battery coupons, so it might be better to buy the smaller packs for less OOP although I am not sure if it would be less batteries.

The only deal I did yesterday at CVS was the Clairol hair color deal. My mom has been asking me to keep my eyes out for a hair color deal. I have several of my color stockpiled from a Walgreens deal, but nothing for her. So with the $2 coupon and ECB, this only cost $1.99.

Since we don't have a Rite Aid thread and Rite Aid deals sometimes show up on the CVS thread . . .

Herbal Essences products are BOGOF at Rite Aid this week. The last P&G Brandsaver insert had a buy a shampoo or conditioner, get a styling product free coupon in it. Use the coupon and you get two free bottles. I didn't notice it said styler and used my first one for two bottles of shampoo -- went through fine.

Just in case anyone wasn't aware, the bag tag is not tied to a particular card. So you can use one tag for both cards. It just accumulates separately on each card!

Thanks for posting this info. I was afraid to use it for DH's card but now I know I can. :thumbsup2

Can someone explain to me what the point of the bagtag is? Either the clerk who explained it to me was confused or it makes no sense. She said you buy the tag for 99 cents and attach it to a bag you already own, scan it four times and get $1 ECB. Is that true? I thought you were supposed to get a free bag. With that scenario, I would pay tax for the privilege of having CVS to scan the tag. That just makes no sense.

Yup! Had 5 coupons so lots of shampoo and stylers! I also did the Oral B toothbrush, chapstick, and AirWick Minis (50% off) and Finish dishwasher detergent. Broke down into two transactions (one for each account) and used the $5/$25 coupons. Broke even! Good Rite Aid day!!!

Well, after your first 4 uses you pay for the tag. But then you can keep using the tag so you will start earning money then. Not too mention saving the environment ;) Also, if you have two cards you can use the same tag for both, so you will accumulate ECB faster!

So it's not a limit of $1 ECB. Now it makes sense. Given how often I visit CVS, this WILL work. I love bringing reusable bags -- was just having trouble seeing why I should buy the tag.

I've already got my first ECB for having my bag tag. I always use my own bags so it is a good deal for me.

I'm so bad at remembering my reusable bags! I forgot last CVS trip, maybe this will help me.

Maggie, I figured it out on a deal before and it was a better deal (cost of each battery) to get the big packs, but maybe your coupons are better than what I had.

What people do on these movie deals is do the deal today and get the $10 coupon, then do the deal again when the movie is released and use the coupon and get the other $10 off because it changes over on Tuesday. It goes like this:

Sunday/Monday transaction:
$20 Two batteries
-?? coupons
-$/$$ if you have one
(receive $10 coupon)

Tuesday-Saturday transaction:
$20 Two batteries
-?? coupons
19.99 movie
-10.00 automatically taken off
-10.00 coupon from 1st transaction
-$/$$ if you have one
(free movie)

Thank you tarheel and Puffkin!! I just got back from Rite Aid where I got LOTS of stuff.

I'm just getting back into CVSing and Rite Aiding (those ARE verbs - right?). We've been down with h1n1 for nearly two weeks now. ALL four of my kids overlapped for a few days and we had secondary ear infections, bronchitis, possible pneumonia (we go back today), and a sinus infection. This is one NASTY bug!!!

CVS - here I come - later today!!

:worship: Thank you, LanaJae! You always come through just when I need you most. I couldn't figure out this one for the life of me.

Whew! Hope they all feel better really soon, Jennifer. You must be exhausted! :flower3:

I've never done it before because there hasn't been a movie I've wanted badly, but I do want UP!, I don't know why we missed it in the theater.

After I empty my bag, I throw it back in the car right away or just hang it next to my purse so I remember it the next time I leave the house. Of course last Monday when I went to the p.o. to mail my coupons, I forgot my purse and my CVS bag in the kitchen. When I got to the p.o. I looked all over the car only to realize my purse (and CVS bag of course!) was still at home. :headache:

I found a $4/$20 in my spam folder a few minutes, so I guess I could get the KY Yours and Mine for 99 cents after $5 coupon and ECBs. Do we have any product reviews?:rotfl:

Here's a product review for you. :rotfl: In my opinion it's still not worth the 99 cents.

Please forgive me here. I just got back from vacation and my brain is not working yet. How does the movie become free? You still are paying for the batteries minus whatever coupons you have, correct? I am missing something?

I'm a little confused right now. I went to CVS and got my $20 worth of Duracell batteries today and the UP coupon is on the tape. So even if the CRT says limit reached on the Duracell batteries, it will reset tomorrow and I can do the Duracell deal again? Do I buy the second round of batteries in a separate transaction from the purchase of the DVD so that I can use both $10 coupons on the DVD purchase?

Ok, just got back and I think I had another pretty good week.

I got:

2 Little Colds Cold Medicine
2 Triaminic Cough & Cold
2 Nature's Bounty BOGO

-$4.00 Nature's Bounty coupons
-$3.00 Triaminic
-$5.00/$25.00
-$14.00 ECB's

Paid $3.99 OOP and received $10.00 ECB's. Not too shabby and all things that will definitely be used!

Hi ladies, I saw something up thread about a coupon beeping - I was able to print 3 of the medicare coupons before it got pulled. They look perfect with a bar code. Are these beeping? I was hoping to use one to improve the UP deal (loved this film!) and then build up a little more ecb in prep for BF:).

BTW, there is an SC Johnson rebate - Buy 3 items, get $5 and you can do it three times per household (www.scjohnson.com). Glade is one of the items!
