Hello all, I know we've all discussed how much we Love, Love, Love the cuttlebug Disney dies and embossing folders.

So last night I used Cindy's carriage on a light blue card stock and heat embossed it with silver. OMG absolutely beautiful. But time consuming and
had so "overage silver" The details are very fine, and the Ranger Medium wasn't "thin enough" Anyone have any hints for how to do such intricate outlining without A) it drying before I get powder on.
B) Avoiding the medium from bleeding outside of the outline?

Thanks fo help!
If I knew how to post picture I would. If anyone wants to point me to directions of how to.. please do!

Can't help, but i would love to know how you use the heat emboo tool for this? i have only used emboss tool with versa mark and a stamp? Would love to hear about other techniques? What is Ranger medium, and where do you buy it
this does sound awesome though!;)

How are you getting the embossing medium onto the carriage. I'm going to guess that you are painting it on? That would be a time consuming nightmare, I don't paint anything well.

I might suggest an embossing pen (i'm only marginally better with an embossing pen than a paint brush.) Zig makes one in a clear, there is one way at the bottom on this link: Look for the Zig pen here!

You can also use a VersaMark Pen too.

Another thing you may want to try is doing it in "sections". There is no rule that you have to emboss all of it at 1 time - especially if you are hand applying the embossing fluid. Just make sure that it is totally cooled off between heating, and putting down more embossing fluid. If you don't let it cool, the embossing powder will definitely "stick" to where it is warm, and then your beautiful work will look lousy.

Hope this helps!

Thanks! I have to try the Zig pen. I was using one by ranger, and found the tip too big for the fine detail. I just traced the outline. Poured on powder, shook off excess and heated.

What I did do this time was I used Parchment paper (used for baking)
There was no static cling on powder it slid right back into container. And with stood the heat gun when I heated cardstock.

Disneyfan2,
It's relatively same concept. Except you're using a "versa ink" type pen to outline the "embossed" cuttlebug shape. Then putting powder and heat to shine.
Still hoping someone walks me through the picture posting, and I'll post my finished product. (albeit primitive while I master the technique )
