Absolutely no problem. They may ask for a key at opening, but otherwise anyone can pretty much come and go as they wish. Of course it doesn't open until DCA opens, which is later than DL.
When you check into the hotel, they will give you a small piece of paper (a charge slip) You can use this to access Magic Morning and also when you go into the GCH entrance to DCA. Or as was previously stated, a room key works too.

They don't give out the charge slips anymore. Everything that would have been on the charge slip is now charged to the new room key (as of August 2008), which is called the Key to the Magic. You use it as a key AND you can charge any purchases or meals on to it if you wish to (they attach it to your credit or debit card info), as well as for Magic Mornings and the GCH entrance to DCA.
So when any DLR hotels guests use the GCH entrance to DCA in the morning when DCA opens, you show your ticket or AP as well as the Key to the Magic. (Usually, you can get into DCA about 15 or 20 minutes earlier than when DCA officially opens - sometimes more than that.) Later in the day, as previously stated, they get a little looser with letting people in, and don't always ask for the Key to the Magic. They pretty much just let everyone in, though I would suggest keeping your Key with you just in case they suddenly start asking to see it at 5:00 p.m. or something!
Yeah I know nothing about staying at the hotel and the perks hahaha the last time I stayed at the resort was in 1989 when I was 4 because I lived in So Cal most of my life so I never had to stay at the hotels. Soooo what's the Magic Morning's?

On certain days of the week, Disneyland park opens an hour earlier than the scheduled opening time. This MM is available to DLR hotel guests. MM is also available on park hoppers of 3+ days. Usually only one MM is available on these park hoppers, but resort guests can go every day it is available if they want. Usually the days are S and T days - Saturday, Sunday, Tuesday, and Thursday.
