Customized Park Maps - Great Keepsakes!

Thanks to a great suggestion I read on the DIS Boards, I created and ordered free customized maps of each WDW park from www.disney.com. I wasn't sure they would arrive before the trip, but they just did, and they are really beautiful keepsakes. The maps come in a pretty, sturdy envelope, and are quite large. They are made of quality paperstock, as well.

For anyone out there leaving for their trip in 3+ weeks, I highly recommend creating these maps for your families. Not only can you design your own touring plan, but you will have a terrific keepsake from your trip.

If you are leaving soon (like us! ), you also have the option to print a smaller version of the maps right from your home computer.

I really love the keepsake maps!! I think i've ordered a few of them over the years.... (you can order more after a certain time period i think)

I actually have the one of Walt Disney World Resort (showing the whole area) framed in a shadow box that has a backing that you can put pins into. I have made it into a pin display shadowbox. I put some of my favorite pins on it in locations that somewhat correspond to what they represent. I have a monorail pin on the line between the TTC and the Contemporary on the map. I have a cute yeti pin near DAK. I've got a Partners Statue Pin with the castle behind it over the location of Cinderella's Castle on the map, etc. I also added some unused fastpasses, old room keys, my JUST ENGAGED button and my Dream Fastpass Badge (from Year of a Million Dreams) to the shadow box!

I think there's all sorts of cute ways to use those maps. They are so much nicer looking than the maps you get in the actual parks.

I love these maps too got mine in the mail a few days ago. However for the entire WDW property map I couldnt help but notice the monorail loop was off. it had the contemporary going directly to Epcot, and it didnt go directly to the Poly. Still love the maps but it really threw me off

OP - did your maps show the new FL area? Our last ones didn't and I've been holding out on ordering more until that part is added.

I ordered maps about 10 days ago and they show the new Fantasy land area! They look great.

The maps I ordered 6 months ago have the new fantasyland area marked, but don't show anything in it, just where it will be.

I've looked at the customized maps but they were for the individual parks. This one is for the whole "World." I would love one in this style in addition to the individual ones. Am I missing something on the customize site or how can I get one of these? I love your idea of marking some of the areas with our favorite pins!

Anyone? I really like the idea shown in the picture but can only find the individual park maps...

Another suggestion is to actually order the maps AFTER your trip. I did this after our first trip and we marked off all the things we did. You can pick and choose exactly what you want marked in each park. So we have one for each park that at a glance shows everything we did on our very first trip. Great keepsake!!!

The one of the whole park comes with them!! It's just a generic one but it was my favorite too because it was like an added bonus. When you order the maps a letter comes with it telling you what will be going on during your stay (if you put in your trip dates when ordering) the whole World map will be on the back of that!

I tried to order one and was so disappointed to find out that they are only delivered in the USA. I live in Canada and thought they would at least deliver here too. I can print off but that one looks much bigger than the sheet of paper I would have.

If its allowable I can have them sent to my house and send them via regular mail to you if you want
