Hello!

I have heard that some restaurants will customize take home menus for you for a special occasion...

Which restaurants do this and how do I go about arranging it?

DH and I are heading down next month (next month - wooohooo :cool1: :cool1: ) for our 6th anniversary and I would love to surprise him with something like this.

Thanks!
Jenn

One place that was doing this was Coral Reef. I would give them a call.

and you can't make a request for this service at Coral Reef through the Disney dining reservation line. You must call the restaurant directly.

I know that Artist Point gave us souvenier menus that wished us a Happy 25th Anniversary. We didn't even ask for thm, but we mentioned that we'd be celebrating our 25th when we made reservations.

DH and I got customized menus at Coral Reef last year for our anniversary. When we made the ADR, we had the CM make a note that it would be our anniversary that day, but we didn't make any special requests. We got menus with our names printed on them :thumbsup2 We also ate at the California Grill that day and we got confetti on our table :wizard:

Non-food related:
When we checked in at POFQ, we told the CM we were there to celebrate our anniversary and he gave us each "Happy Anniversary" buttons to wear. He noted the date of our anniversary, and when we got in from the parks that day, we had a nice big card signed by Minnie & Mickey that included a large photo of them and had a couple of balloons attached :lovestruc

Definitely get the anniversary buttons as CMs around the parks will notice them and make you feel quite special :flower3:

We got them 2 years in a row at YSH. OP, they are cute, but really not a big deal. On the top of the one page menu they laser print your names and occassion.

IMO its a pain to carry it around after dinner. So I had the hostess stash it behind the hostess stand and we picked it up the next time we walked past there. (which was a challenge, because they open at like 4 or 5 in the afternoon).

DH and I had the kids at the Sandcastle Club and there was no way I was 1) going to carry them around for the evening or 2) Walk back to the YC to the absolute furtherest room in the place (by the quiet pool) to put them away.

These are some of the grown up choices we must make :lmao:

Thank you so much to all who replied (and pm'ed)...

I am going to take care of this right now...

I wonder if DH will even notice.... :scratchin :goodvibes hehehe :lmao:

Fortunately, I think I figured out a way around this...

I will just HAVE to buy something at a nearby gift shop and toss the menu in and have it delivered to my resort.....

The things I HAVE to do... oy! :rotfl2:

1) Any table dining eatery can make menus.
2) All they do is add you name and message and reprint the menu.
3) However, you don't always get the special menu
. . . depends upon the energy and willingness of the host/hostess
. . . depends upon how busy the restaurant is
. . . depends upon phase of the moon

What is the phone number to call to make a request for the personalized menu at Coral Reef?

So do you think when the moon is in the seventh house would be a good time or a bad time.
Our first meal will be at Liberty Tree and seeing this trip is to celebrate our sons' 21st birthday I would love to get a personalised menu from there.
